Who is everyone's favorite frontman of all time? The greatest for me starts with Freddie Mercury and then there's a considerable gap for 2nd place.

I think Axl Rose and Robert Plant have to be right in the discussion for the best.

David Lee Roth is probably still my favorite.

Yea Axle is a good one. Have you seen the acoustic set of G n R at CBGB's?

You a fan of Jim Dandy?

To the rescue!

You can hear the influence for Roth. I think I just came of age with 1984, Diver Down and Women and Children First.

I haven't seen that acoustic set. I'll check you tube.

The first two posts pretty much sum this whole argument up. The others mentioned just make my heart cry.

Basically:

1. Mercury
2. Plant
3. George Clinton
4. Morrissey
5. Cornell

I agree, my only issue with Plant is that he was never that great of a live singer. I'd probably put Axl in front of him just because he could sing like a madman live. I'm not saying Plant couldn't have been a great live singer if he wanted to, but I think the drugs and alcohol kept him from being great live.
