Greatest Game In Neyland? That was it.

This has to be the greatest.

1. Breaks a 15 year Bama win streak
2. Most points scored on a Bama team since 1907
3. We won without Tillman, Haden, Burrell, & McCullough and their Heisman QB played
4. Jalin Hyatt with a record breaking performance
5. #3 vs #6 both undefeated
6. It’s the most maxim true game I can ever remember

And I could tell on my TV that it was LOUD in Neyland all night

I've watched college and pro football my whole life and can't think of a better, more compelling game from start to finish than this one.

'twas an utter and absolute classic. The 1971 Nebraska-Oklahoma game was once called The "Game of the Century." For decades, I regarded it as the best college football game I had ever seen. That is no longer the case.

It may be time for Saban to retire. He has finally encountered an offense he can’t stop.

I was at the ‘04 Florida game. Largest ever crowd, loudest I’ve ever heard it, and eerily similar. Can’t remember the kicker of the top of my head, but he missed a PAT then nailed a 50 yard game winner as time expired. Probably not as significant as this one, but huge at the time.
But no, ‘98 Arkansas, then this. They win a NC this year and that’s reversed
James wilhoit goat to hero game

Pounding Bo Jackson until he checked himself out of the game in 1985 is similar. 15 years without going to the Sugar Bowl. Beating a Heistman Trophy winner. T-Rob and HH are 2 all-time great QBs.

This is a where were you moment. One of those moments you’ll never forget where you were, who you were with and the feeling you had when the kick went through. This is an all timer.
As I approach the seventy's (as in years), I was beginning to wonder if I would ever see the streak end. When this season started, I began to believe this team was special, but still wasn't convinced we could take down the tide. After dismantling LSU, I jumped all in on beating 'bama. What a glorious night, what a great time to be a VOL. Let's keep rolling, take it one game at a time, and most importantly, GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!

Right On Brother!!! How many times over the years we watched teams shut it down in the last minute or two and play for overtime? CJH is refreshing with his aggressiveness and take no prisoners attitude. I'm a huge fan. GBO !!!
I can remember games back in the 70's where they jokingly said the game plan was to kick a field goal and then run out the clock---the games could be run, grind, punt run, grind and punt. Coaches were happy if the game ended in a tie. I remember Auburn's coach Pat Dye that was nicknamed Pat Tye because so many games ended with ties. I love this Tenn offense loaded with talent like a well oiled machine.

I'm in the moment but I was at '98 Florida, Arkansas, & the NC. I was there today. Today & Arkansas stand out....
I stand by Arkansas 98. 18 point comeback with 2 undefeated teams in November and a miracle play that happens once in a lifetime all happened in that one game and all of those things are pretty rare. For example, if we win the next 2 weeks and UGA does this will be the first time since that game that we will participate in a game with 2 undefeated teams in November. Add our 18-point comeback, the miracle fumble, the fact we just went to #1 for the first time in forever and the 98 Arkansas game will likely never be topped. This one isn’t far behind though for sure. Greatest game in a decade or more.

I was lucky enough to attend Florida 1998 as well as last night. Very different types of games but both among the best ever. I feel blessed to have been there, just knew I had to be.

Twenty years from now there will be 2 million people claiming to have been in the stands, half of which will have thrown the goal posts in the river. LOL

I was at the 82 Bama game, one of the best days of my life. But todays game tops it, no question about it.
I was at ‘82 game as well. I know students could go on field back then - but were there fines for tearing down goal posts in ‘82? If not , wonder who paid?
