I was joking with you too. Mikita was one of the best centers ever in the National Hockey League. He played for the Chicago Blackhawks,,,,,seems like about 40 or 50 years ago.

My bad, not used to ff sarcasm. :) ah I don't follow hockey. I do think it would be a blast to see in person though.

I'm a huge Witten fan and agree about Winslow being near the top in regards to Tight Ends but Jay Novacek was the best at the position I've ever seen.

He was pretty good. I watched him hurdle defenders before, but I wouldnt say he was the best ever. Witten has been better for one. But Nova deserves a mention like Todd Christensen or Dave Casper with the Raiders.

Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Gale Sayers, O.J. Simpson

I always liked Eric Dickerson and he never makes these lists. It is hard to argue against Brown and Sanders. I think Bo Jackson and Gale Sayers are the two the world would have loved to see play a full healthy career.

Earl Campbell too, though his style wasn't made to last 10+ years. I like Dickerson too.

You could make a pretty damn good NFL team out of ex Vols.

I would do this in Madden back in the day......id put all VFLs on a team and then fill in the roster with 1)small Tenn schools 2) Hometown folk and etc.......but all starters were VFLs with some minor holes based on depth etc...

how deadly of an Offense could you have with Manning, Witten, Foster, Hunter, CP, Moore, Meachem, Stocker to name a few.....thats a deadly Offense IMHO

But let's not make any mistake, I am very biased in my views :loco::)

I thought about the other guys that you mentioned, but I stopped at 5. It's really a coin flip. They were all great.

Those two were also 2 of the best. It is hard to stop at 5 like I did.

No doubt. I know Emmitt Smith gets left off a lot of these lists but he was incredible and a great pass catcher and blocker. I wouldn't be mad at anyone that put him at the top either even though he is a Gator. Too many running backs.

They would all be chasing Willie Gault and losing ground!

For sure and true for pretty much all WR's who ever played the game - there is a reason Willie Gault was on the USA track olympic team (4x100 relay that set the world record).

Also let's not forget Stanley Morgan, Carl Pickens, and Anthony Miller at WR.

Actually, Stanley is probably our most accomplished receiver in terms of NFL accolades and stats. He was an extraordinary deep threat and compiled 557 receptions for 10,716 yards and 72 touchdowns in an era when the ball was thrown far less frequently (Stanley Morgan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). He had six successive seasons (1977-1982) in which he averaged more than 20 yards per catch (Stanley Morgan, WR at NFL.com) and "remains the franchise record holder with 10,352 receiving yards and 67 touchdowns [for the Patriots]. His career average of 19.2 yards per catch still stands as an NFL record for those with more than 500 career receptions" (Official Website of the New England Patriots | Team - History - Hall of Fame).

By contrast, Pickens had 540 receptions for 7,129 yards and 63 touchdowns (Carl Pickens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) and Willie Gault had 333 receptions for 6,635 yards and 44
touchdowns ( Willie Gault - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
