Fulton Co. Stadium. The last dinosaur!

Saw the Vols vs. I think Indiana in a Peach Bowl there ages ago.
Gotta be the worst layout for football I ever encountered.

I also attended that game, then went to the Omni and watched Kentucky play Georgia in basketball. There was a large contingency of UK fans in Atlanta because they thought early in the year that they would be in a position to make the Peach Bowl, thus creating a UK doubleheader.

Gambling issues aside the man gave his all every time he hit the field.
i would agree....but the gambling thing, to me, referring to the "lead by example" philosophy stated earlier, kind of puts a damper on Pete....but if you had asked me this during the time he was playing, i would agree 100%.

Sid Bream. I can still remember the crowd chanting Sid! Sid! Sid! at the old Atl.-Fulton Co. Stadium and I'll never forget Game 7 of the NLCS in 1992.
did'nt he run thru a stop sign at 3rd base? Man I just knew he was gonna be so out at home, both knees were gone...old man challenging the throw....when he was called safe I jumped outta my chair hollerin like a redneck that just won the 50 dollar bingo sweepstakes! Good times. :biggrin2:

I have to vote for Gao Jun Chang, who teamed with 4 different other women to win the world doubles ping pong championship from 1996 through 2002. Inclusive.
