Greatest UT Football Picture Ever !!!

Gus Manning has a briefcase full of cash. It’s meal money that he’s about distribute to the players after the game.

Gus at Long’s lunch counter a couple of years ago:

Beat me too it but that bottom pic proves what a visionary that Gus (rip) truly was . He was 50 years ahead of his time in the dispersement of NIL benefits .

Ironically, there was no way UT was gonna win the game. But he made his point. Actually two points.

And the UT fan in the background shows his approval.

I have seen this is on a t-shirt, but I would love to find this in a high resolution frameable size. I am surprised it is not being sold somewhere framed, like the the work of art it is.

Even in defeat, the tattered, ragged image of Dewey Warren doing battle against UCLA in 1967 still inspires. View attachment 561598
In 1968, we lived in Erlanger, KY just outside of Cincinnati. Dads boss was a big doner to the Bengals and gave us game tickets to see the Bengals play the Broncos, if I remember. Cincinnati had drafted 2 Vols that year ... Bob Johnson - Center in the first round and Dewey Warren - QB in the 6th round.
As a young 9 year old at the game, I saw a play that I thought was so cool! It was a double reverse with a flea flicker back to Dewey who threw a bomb down the field to the WR. I think it was Bob Trumpy. At halftime the Tennessee State Univ Marching band entertained on the field and played "The Horse". Awesome day all the way around!

The photo is an excellent example of photojournalism. It tells an entire story with no caption needed. Every person’s expression contributes.

There used to be a black and white photo at Alumni Hall of a UT player leaping over a pile of UF players. That was a great photo. I can’t find it online but I would say that was a favorite of mine.

Billy Ratliff chasing down the Stoerner fumble is, in my opinion, the most significant play for Volunteer football in the last 30-40 years.

Without that play, who knows what would have happened the rest of the season. (I mean, there's a reason I have it as my avi)
100%. The only example of Divine Providence that I have ever witnessed. Much more impactful than the Dobnail Boot, or any other pics. Peerless’ catch was talent and hard work. The stumble fumble was loaves and fishes.

Does anyone have the photo of Bru, Hyatt, Keyton, (and maybe Tillman) on the sideline looking old school? I believe it was the Bama game.
