Greetings from an OSU fan!

I love when I am at a bar and I hear a drunk,Nickleback rocking, tool scream out OH. The best part is you are guaranteed to hear the second biggest tool scream out IO. It is entertaining to watch lol.

I would agree with your post. A reasonable fan of any program understands just how difficult a National Championship is to attain. The expectations of collegiate fans have somehow blown out of proportion over this last decade. It used to be all that a fan needed was an opportunity to compete for their conference title. Now if their team is not winning the NC, the team has somehow disappointed the fan base. This is a load of nonsense and a shame.

Both UT and tOSU have done well this year…making an appearance in the sweet sixteen is indeed an accomplishment to be proud of. I wouldn’t be looking past St. Mary’s right now. Any team remaining is a contender and should be congratulated on their accomplishments.

That said,,,Go Bucks.

ps and I'll bet you too are glad that Kansas and Georgetown are not around

This is how most reasonable Buckeye fans feel. Or at least the ones who know something about basketball. All season I've heard OSU fans worried about their team... I think some of the same concerns still exist, but many are overconfident now that GTown and Kansas have bowed out.

Yeah Ohio State hasnt really played a team this year that gets out and runs like UTenn.... I truely think this game is for a final four birth.... Sparty with out Lucas or Northern Iowa, not to take away from those guys obviously crazier things have happened, but I think these two teams are the best left in the mid west region.... Im in Columbus and no one is chalking this up as a victory.

Foul trouble will doom the Buckeyes. That is my greatest concern and is the case every time we tip off. It's not getting worn down, it's the difference between the first five and the others.

We really don't get in foul trouble though. Turner fouled out against Illinois in that double OT game, and I can't think of the last time somebody fouled out before that.

No but Lighty had 4 with 10 min to go against G Tech.... the Vols are more athletetic and better coached then G Tech. Good news is he wont be gaurding a big but it def could be a factor especially for him because he is asked to do so much on D....

I'm really not trying to troll. It was the other dickbag OSU poster that started it if you'd care to review.

Sounds like you're having a crisis of identity. If you hate tOSU's fans so much, just go on ahead and convert to Volism. It's been saving souls since 1794. :)

Go Vols!

I don't see how a team can play 5 guys and be confident about beating Tennessee.

Ohio State can. I don't know how they do it, but they can. I will say that I think they lost at West Virginia because they got worn out at the end. OSU had a comfortable lead and should have won, but starting missing shots - I think because they were tired and they started losing their legs. So I don't know... They played back-to-back-to-back games in the Big 10 tournament and looked ok.

Hello friends. :wavey:

Just wanted to come over and try to disrupt that perception that all OSU fans are arrogant douches. Maybe you'll find that only 99% of them are. And I'm a poster on TigerDroppings, so I can take the best you can dish out :neener:

Looking like its going to be a great game on Friday.

Well, you did disrupt, but I think the word you were looking for is dispel.

I think OSU will zone the Vols

I agree with this. From what I understand Tennessee isn't a strong outside shooting team. I expect Matta to pack in a zone to make Tennessee shoot Ohio State out of the zone.

If Ohio State plays man Lighty will be on Chism. Lighty shut Jeff Green down in the Final Four his freshman year and he's used to defending bigs. Because of this I expect Tennessee to get offensive rebounds on a regular basis. Lighty defends like mad but he'll give up too much size to keep Chism off the offensive boards.

It's going to be a tough game. I wouldn't put money on this game in either direction as I can see multiple ways either team can win or lose the game.

If we play a 3-2 zone we won't have any problem. 2-3 wouldn't be good because as we know sometimes Tennessee gets hot and sometimes they are cold. We should win this game fairly easy.

Unfortunately Thad Matta isn't as ignorant as you, as a 3-2 would leave your 4 guard squad even more vulnerable in the post, I'm pretty sure you don't want Lauderdale and a G-F type player trying to contain two big men.

You should have won the last one fairly easily OSU blah blah blah but you eeeeeaaaked by. Just like when we met in football OSU blah blah blah Eddie George blah blah blah.

I'm heading over Friday morning to watch some more of your superior atheletic team play....or in other words....blah blah blah. Bring it.

I will make a promise right now, if we win or lose I will come and make a thread with my thoughts on the game. No excuses if we lose, it'll be brief if we win.
