still going strong. he's going to need to pretty much finish in front of Jimmie Johnson from here on out to pull it off.

i'm still not believing that Johnson can go 3 Chases in row without any major bad luck, but my skepticism is waning each week . i hate to admit it, but a 3peat is no small task.

I've felt about the same, I still think the odds are he will have a bad race. Expect him to do well at Martinsville.

Someone might go Scott Speed on him (I would have probably done the same thing if the guy I was battling for the title wrecked me in the last race and it looked intentional). The other chasers have to be hating the way Johnson seems unstopable when the chase comes around. Robby Gordon hasn't taken out anybody in the chase this year, maybe Johnson's name has been put on his bumper.

Let me start by saying that I am a Harvick and Bowyer fan. I am used to saying "well, at least we finished in the top 15" every week. Mediocrity is what I expect every week. With that being said, why should we all hate on Johnson and crew for the work they do? They flat bring it every week. I don't like the fact that the 48 is the car to beat every week, but I don't hate them for that. All I'm saying is appreciate...don't hate!

You won't find a post from me anywhere saying I hate any driver. I have immense respect for any driver who can make it to the Cup level. Just because someone doesn't like seeing one driver win a lot, is not a hatred, at least in my case. I just like to see more winners, closer competition. When a few drivers dominate, it usually results in not as close of racing, thus boring races.

Obviously JJ, Knauss and the 48 team have a better handle on Chase racing than the others, and if they win, they deserve it. I'm pulling for J. Burton.

I hate going to the race and seeing the same guy win. This year has offered me some variety but the last two years it's been pretty much the JJ show if I was at the track.

Yeah, I don't literally hate the people on Jimmie Johnson's (or Jeff Gordon's for that matter)team and I respect his skills as a driver. But from a rooting standpoint as a racing fan I hate when their teams do well. Just like we all, more than likely, hate Alabama and Florida in college sports. I don't hate the individual people just the concept of their existence on the field, haha.

Bama and Florida are different, I freely admit I hate them both, and I am getting that way about Georgia.

Great post, but hey, I am a Johnson fan. Don't hate the player, hate the game. :)

Sorry, but after JJ's little 9 lap passing cars like they were standing still gimmick,
I HATE the 48 team for at least the next hour until I cool down.

Oh yeah, and I'm very lucky all things considered.
But,from a real life Chase viewpoint ,what JJ did was just sick.
Harvick got tires with 9 green laps to go also and couldn't pass one car.
Poor Edwards was shocked when he found out Johnson finished 2nd.
