Good band, but I can't call them Zeppelin 2.0

Led Zeppelin is in their own stratosphere compared to any other band.

Only because overzealous fans and media put them there. I like Zep but there were better bands that deserved more praise. Bands that didn't rip off other people's music.

Slow your roll they were blues inspired and did recreate some classics but their original stuff is also beyond compare.

They’re also just kids. What kid doesn’t try to emulate their idols? They’ll come into their own.

I can name a dozen bands(mostly british) that did the same thing.

True but I do think LZ has been one of the most egregious. Plus the difference is most of those other bands credited their influences early on. It took many years and probably many lawsuit threats before LZ finally consented and put those credits in their liner notes.

Did they rip off Kashmir? The Ocean? Moby Dick?

Those three songs alone equal more glory than 99.9% of bands could ever touch.

was hoping to see them in concert in Baltimore, but tickets sold out in a matter of hours. I could never even get onto the website. Love their sound. They're Zeppelin-esque, but already have some distinct differences.

There are only two bands that were arguably more influential to rock music than LZ - they would be The Beatles and Black Sabbath.

No. As a musician Zep was on a different plain.

Even if you just focus in on JPJs bass playing it is arguably some of the most amazing work ever laid down.

I don’t think anyone is claiming they are on the same plain
