Their first two drives vs the Vols (8 yds and punt, followed by 3 yds and punt) asked me to tell you hello.

Yeah, we stoned em on TWO drives. After GT coaches adjusted to our D, they were unstoppable. Today GT has rushed in first half for a whopping 80 yards and total 140 yards. Just saying that does not speak well of our D, and also indicates GT offense isn't some well oiled unstoppable machine. It just means our D sucks

Paul Bain and a bruised football that wanted to go to the uprights but got distracted asked me to say hello.

Darrell Taylor and the 2nd OT asked me to tell you hello.

Not sure you're aware, so I'll re-post it here: we won Monday night.

42-41 asked me to say hello.

There is one stat that matters in each game. And it starts with either a W or an L.

Everything else is details for stats geeks, or just for fun. Secondary. Footnotes. The "W" or the "L" are what smart eyes look for.

Well, my point in the particular post that you quoted is that you were wrong about "unstoppable." Because, you know, we stopped them. At some very key points in the game, when it counted most, we stopped them.

We had a "bend but don't break" approach in our defensive game plan, and it worked, and we won without any serious injuries on defense. But some folks want to focus on details about some of the stats in spite of the victory.

But my more general point, you seem to have grasped. We won. And that's far more important than any details about stats.

My apologies. I was wrong. They were "unstoppable" after the first two drives.

I do forgive you. But you haven't gotten it yet.

Again, Paul Bain says hello. A blocked field goal is often considered a "stop."

Darrell Taylor also says hello. A game-winning stuff of a 2-point run attempt is usually considered a "stop."

Georgia Tech possessed the ball 14 times in Monday's game. They scored points on 6 of those possessions. The other 8 were stops. That's, you know, over half the time that our D stopped them before they could score. Bend but don't break, indeed.

I thought you had it, but apparently not yet. :)

p.s. Tennessee possessed the ball 13 times, and scored on 6. It's an interesting stat comparison, that we were actually slightly more successful, possession for possession, than the team that racked up all the yardage. We were far more opportunistic and efficient with field position. Thank Trevor Daniel and our special teams, among others.

GT with multiple passing TD's. JS not expecting that. Johnson is a horses A:$ but a decent coach.

Doesn't matter to some Negavols, they'd rather focus on being proven right that we suck instead of moving on and looking towards future games.

After all Jax sure is playing them well, they are only down what? 20 points?

What a long way we have fallen when coaches can't point out mistakes made by their players without their basic humanity being called into question. Safe Space we must protect our safe space!!! If i got out of practice without somebody cussing me it was a great day. JS :D
