They’ve never all been good at the same time while in the ACC. I don’t know what’s happened to VT. They might be the worst or second worst P5 team. They’re awful.

I think Fuente was just really bad, worse than his record indicated. He actually never had a season with a losing record in the ACC; plenty of mediocrity, but never had like a 1-7 or something awful.

My opinion of Fuente has really swung towards the negative side since Hooker's emergence. HH didn't even consistently see the field at VT and when he did, he wasn't anything special. He comes here and is a Heisman frontrunner and 1st round draft pick. I would get it if HH was good at VT and became great here, but how Fuente and that staff failed to get much of anything out of him is just baffling.

It really is an indictment of how bad they are to see HH have so much success. I think the scheme is a great fit, but there’s so much that he does that you can’t teach that allows him to be successful . Fuente and his staff really blew their opportunity w/ a big time player.
