Guess Where Mike Tannenbaum (ESPN) Projects Hendon Hooker To Be Drafted??

Levis has the big arm and quick release so he can throw into tight windows. On the other hand he lacks the judgment to avoid closed windows. Seems like a first round pick is a big investment to make in a developmental project.
Accuracy is the name of the QB game in the NFL, and the usual downfall of otherwise excellent college quarterbacks. The windows are tight every play.

So if Levis has the velocity and the accuracy, then I guess they figure they can coach-up the rest of the package.

Have we even had a successful QB in the NFL other than Peyton?
George Cafego (#1 pick in the draft) probably had the best NFL career, second only to Peyton. To indicate how long ago that was, he played football for the Dodgers, Yanks, and Builders!

Ryan and Scott had strong showings playing intermittently as backup QBs, behind Joe Namath and Archie Manning.

Does Nathan Peterman count?

In reality, we’ve barely had any that have seen the field since 1990.

Kelly? Nope Arena league warrior
Shuler? LOL We know the story
Martin- was drafted and saw some PT with the Raiders but didn’t last.
Clausen- undrafted and never saw a down
Ainge- 5th Round and stayed around for a couple of years
Crompton- drafted but Canadian league success
Bray- undrafted practice squad legend
Worley- not an nfl player
Dobbs- 2 starts
JG- undrafted but apparently clipboard holding material

I guess the Lesser Simms brother that spent 2 years here got some PT at one point.

Call me crazy; but I think Joe is the better prospect. I absolutely loved HH’s time here; as I did Dobbs, both are extremely smart and tremendous leaders. I just don’t see either as ever being a starting QB in the NFL for more than an injury sub.
Hooker killed it in Knoxville and put up outrageous number; but how many times were we all sitting here shocked at how inaccurate he was. Bash me, trash me. He was a tremendous QB for the Vols and even greater human being; but he’s not on Bryce’s level nor Stroud. Plus he’s 25(?). If he’s a 1st rounder off a torn ACL this draft is extremely weak.
*edit if teams are willing to draft A-Rich top 10… nevermind…. Go for it, Hooker Top 5 pick all day 😂

I hope and pray that my Titans get HH.

I believe that HH is only starting to become as good as he can become with the right coaches and Teammates to help him exploit what can be done.

If the right Team does the right things I believe that Hooker can get right up there with Brady and Manning in the NFL.

Every expert's description of Anthony Richardson sounds like a RB, not a QB.
He has zero passing upside.

I think his pre-draft hype makes less sense than Levis'.
Levis has a track record. Richardson's is wishful thinking and fantasy projection.
He has as much claim to being a future great WWE stuperstar as being a NFL QB.

I have my doubts about him as a pro BUT no one had to do more to win than Hendon. He carried the team and carried the offense. If you’re going with physical potential sure Joe looks the part, I just don’t know that I see him getting to that level of carrying the team for an extended stretch. Hopefully our defense is improved enough that he doesn’t have to.

see that's because we seem to have a lot of fans that hate math... his completion percentage at UT was just south of 69% and he was not dinking and dunking. Same with Milton he throws a couple of balls off target in a game and all of a sudden he's super inaccurate. Any QB is gonna throw a few bad balls every game and the more they throw...the more they throw. Its math. People show their true feelings in situations like that. IF you read an NFL scouting report on Hooker its hilarious how against the whole negative Nancy thing people in these forums spread..holds the ball too long etc.

instead of remembering one or two bad plays a game look at the whole body of work. Hooker is an extremely accurate QB all over the field.

Hard to understand what teams see in Levis watched him several games and don’t see anything that looks like first round talent. He has size snd have seen comparisons to Big Ben but think he will be a big gamble in round 1 especially over HH
will be a big bust like Paxton Lynch

I mean, Levis made our secondary look good. That's saying a lot!

I guess Hooker having anything less than a 100% completion percentage makes him inaccurate. Dude almost had 70% completion percentage without throwing very many, if at all screens or quick outs.

Track record??
Yeah of not being able to beat a non-NFL QB at Penn State. Will Leavis has a track record of sucking booty.

Anthony Richardson had 500 yards of total offense against us this year.
How much did Will Leavis have??

Richardson under Heupel would have been the 1st overall pick.

Leavis is a cocky and non-competitive chad, that probably would have transferred from Heupel.

Levis 2022 QB rating 151.9
Richardson 131

I think Richardson is athletic enough to have a career doing something in the NFL, Levis is not an elite athlete, but he is more of a QB.

So much of a quarterback succeeding is going to the right place, at the right time, with the right pieces around him. Brady fell into a perfect spot in NE. Peyton had stud receivers in Indy and Denver.

I think Seattle at 20, Minnesota at 23 or the Saints at 29 would be great spots for HH. I do think Wright is a first rounder and Hyatt will be either late first or early second. It stinks that there’s technically only 31 picks in the first round with Miami not having a pick.
