Damn, that's rough. Imthimking hard of a diss, and threatening you with ignoreland just doesn't seem enough.

It's a diversionary tactic so LG doesn't think we are in cahoots on the Poly forum.

does porn music count?

I actually have this disc and it's pretty damn good...

It's a compilation of 50s/60s music from strip clubs (when they used to use bands).

I'm like Bill...can't really say that I feel guilty about anything I listen to. I've got a broad range of musical genres that I enjoy, but I don't hide any of it.

Caught the Earth Wind & Fire / Chicago concert in Atlanta on Saturday night....both bands on stage at the same time, playing each other's songs...helluva show.

Basically, leading to the "Dave Matthews Band Effect", where literally any commercial success will cost you the die hard fans.

There are other names and terms for that effect, that's just the one I've heard most often.

Very true, but its a real clash of cultures, for example with DMB in the late 80's early 90's you had mainly a more earthy underground type of fan who 10 years later are greeted by frat guys in Areo shirts and plaid shorts. Of course you as the original fan are going to question things.

The main issue with DMB is the fact that over the last 8-10 years their music has gone to sh*t.

I think you guys are holding out. These are some mighty "safe" choices. lol. Michael Jackson from Thriller backwards was/is great. The Triumph album with his brothers is also great. Earth Wind & Fire is legendary. Some of my guilty pleasures are George Michael "Faith album", also like Everything she wants by Wham!, Talk Talk, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Toto, The Jets, Luther Vandross, Jane Kelly Williams, The Stylistics, The Judds, Smashing Pumpkins "1979"..sorry Sab. I have no shame. I like just about everything...

I actually owned Sinead O'Connor's first two albums. How's that for tampon material?

Music make you feel good. Why would anybody feel guilty about that? Is it a guy thing? Man up, and like what you like, and who gives a damn if somebody else doesn't?

I don't get it.

Generally agree, even though agreeing with a chick is problematic for misogynistic folk like myself.

Used to be a music snob, then I grew up. 100% agree with you.

Someone who thinks they have better taste than everyone in music. As opposed to someone who just knows what they like and for everyone else... well... to each their own.

Got it. I'm a music snob to anyone rolling with country.
