Guitars.. What you got?

Picked up this guy in the spring, much more enjoyable to play than my starter fender was.

Still a lot to learn, I jumped into lots of Marty Music stuff in the fall and though I got a lot better I still didn't grasp "What exactly am I doing".

Have been doing the Scotty West classes and am just awestruck with how much I've learned in 3 hours.

Hey, do any of the guitar players in here use an amplug? I'm in the market for one but I want to get one that the overdrive doesn't sound like a swarm of bees. Has anyone here had any experience with them and do any stand out from the pack? Thanks!

My new one. I am not much of a player, but I can tell it has made my playing better.

I LOVE Gretsch guitars! I have two actually, a Jet and a South Korean made G5420 Electromatic hollow body (It looks similar to yours but in a very pale green color). It had a Bigsby but I don't care for them, so I replaced it with a stop tail. I have far fewer tuning issues with it now.

Just pulled the trigger on an American Ultra ii Telecaster in Texas Tea. Will be much nicer than my playing capabilities ever will be but I was looking for a Tele and slowly moved up the chain from a Player ii to American Professional ii to the Ultra ii. I saw it in person at Guitar Center and it's magnificent. Would have bought there but bought direct from Fender for about $100 in savings - add to that another net $70 in savings from signing up for Fender Play. Even if I never use the Fender Play it saved me cash and is 10% off anything from them (except Custom Shop) and I have my eye on a Vintera Mustang...

I'll post a pic when I get it. Meanwhile, this video shows it along with this awesome color. Congrats to me!

Nice! I just bought my first Telecaster. I got the American Vintage II 63’. I don’t know why it took so long to get a Tele. Fantastic guitars!
