Gun control debate (merged)

Today in Chattanooga Tennessee a former disgruntled employee walked into the place where he was fired with a machete. He yelled that he was “cutting every one of you MFers to pieces!” The secretary pulled her gun from her ankle holster and told him he had 2 seconds to decide if he wanted to die. He left and they called the police. (I think she should have shot him). So far there’s absolutely nothing on the news about this. If people like the regular dipsticks of this thread had their way, she and others would likely be dead.

But clearly this kinda attack only happens with guns, right?

This, but she would have had to live with it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the regular dipsticks wanted her charged with something.

They are in the middle of a heated debate in the UK right now on how to confront their epidemic of knife violence.

They are arguing over machetes and hammers. Hammers.

There will always be an implement for the next crazy to pick up.

I think if you have an opportunity to deter the violence by using a gun without pulling the trigger then the gun served its purpose. Understand that isn’t always the case and rounds may need to fly.

I probably would have done the same, pulled my piece and tell him he needs to think real careful about what his next physical move is.

To be completely honest, I’ve been in that situation and. In reality I begged the guy to not make me shoot him.
So
Big talk says “I’d shoot him” but in reality I would have if I had too but was able to avoid it

Thought Nashville PD was going to release that manifesto once they’d had time to read through it?

I’m really concerned with their literacy level at this point
I bumped it the other day.

A judge is now going to decide whether it should be released. After taking the unusual step of letting the victim’s families weigh in on the matter.

Hog, remember the discussion on state succession from its current state. I asked what would happen if Nashville created a new state in and of itself. Seem like Lake Tahoe was already thinking that way.

Secession talks emerge in one Northern California county. Is a new state a possibility?
Thanks for sharing that article. I would love to see this effort come to fruition. Tahoe is my dream place. Never been there but I think I would love living there, at least as a vacation home.

Of course, the effort literally has no chance and it is all a fantasy.

Just here wondering if looney libs are pressing for more pretrial intervention programs for gun related felonies instead of enforcing stricter gun laws?

“We have to change," Biden said. "There’s a lot of things we can change, because the American people by and large agree you don’t need a weapon of war. I’m a Second Amendment guy. I taught it for four years, six years in law school. And guess what? It doesn’t say that you can own any weapon you want. It says there are certain weapons that you just can’t own. Even during when it was passed, you couldn’t own a cannon. You can’t own a machine gun.… No, I’m serious."

I feel for the poor souls he allegedly “taught”.
