And gals,

that loss stings, as all losses do. Please quit with the negativity though, my goodness. Some of you wear the rest of this fan base out. We sit here in Nov with 2 losses and the opportunity to finish the regular season that way. You’d be a liar if you said you wouldn’t take that in August. Relax and let the chips fall. Any ball knower in America knows we deserve a top 12 spot if we win out. Obviously there’s room for improvement with players and coaches, but please step away from the ledge. Don’t all the sudden develop amnesia from the last 15 years.

I thought we'd take a bigger drop, but think since it was a prime time game, most everyone saw the game, and they saw it was a pretty good and close game until the last half of fourth quarter, and that Vols belong. That long Vol drive to start 4th quarter to come away w/ no points was the dagger, b/c UGA then took their own long drive w/ the momentum for a TD and the game just slipped away. Sitting at 10th/11th is better than expected. Probably more drama in top 10 coming, so we probably just need a few things to go our way to be in playoffs.

Kinda had the feel of one of those LSU-Bama games from the early to mid 2010s, imo.

I'd like to reach a point where we can criticize our team without being accused of wanting to fire every coach and player, being called negavols, etc. Anyone questioning the game needs to be reminded that we once had Dooley, Cornbread, etc and we don't want to go back to that right ?

Yea I’m lost on this level of negativity. I thought our team actually played them very tough. We had self inflicted errors and Banks was getting out schemed from the 2nd quarter onward, but that’s the game. You win some you lose some. That was a damn good team we played at night away. We made them earn everything (other than the ref bail outs). Every ball bounced their way last night. I thought our offense was moving the ball consistently past midfield, just gotta close out drives. Only thing I can really criticize is dropped balls by the receivers, dumb penalties, and not getting to Beck rushing 4. Other than that we looked like 2 equal teams fighting for a playoff spot in a hostile environment on the road. Nico was composed, offensive play calling was good for the situation (given they had some good blitz packages). Refs really made me mad to be honest. Felt like they were ensuring there was no doubt in the game.

I don’t believe he’s talking about you if you’re not doing those things. There’s literally threads calling for coaches to be fired. Doesn’t make any sense to take it as a reference to your post if you are criticizing things we could’ve done better.. That’s natural, and honestly, obvious. We played a tough road game against one of the toughest teams in the country. Got some bad breaks and made self inflicted errors. But we played them tough.

Stop telling others how to fan. Some of us donate a bunch of money and time to this university and especially the football program. And some of us have been ticket holders for 30 years. Some of us are sick and tired of seeing our team keep crapping the bed on the road.

I don’t care if my negativity is wearing you out. I want TN to be THE best program there is. I want us to take that next step into the elite category. I get pissed when we play like crap. If you don’t like that or that “wears you out?” Then there is an ignore button.

I knew you'd be here. You are pathetic.

If you can't be happy with wins against a good Florida team (and they are good) and a good Alabama team (2 teams we've struggled with for the better part of 20 years), playing pretty competitive against a really good and fired up Georgia team (who has been one of the best teams in college football the last 8 years!) at their place when they were clicking on all cylinders ...and potentially finishing 10-2 in the SEC with a possible playoff spot I don't know when you will ever be happy - because though it's possible, most years it won't get much better. I think most of our fans would want us to be the best in the SEC. Well the very best in the SEC most years are still going to have 1 and many times 2 losses. We are pretty close to the ceiling. If 16-0 is the only thing that will make you happy and enjoy the season...good luck with that. You will likely never see that in your lifetime. Getting through the SEC at 6-2, getting to the SEC Championship on a tiebreaker (I realize that isn't happening this year), and hoping to make a run in the playoffs is about all you can reasonably hope for. 10 games into the season 2 of those goals (including the biggest one a NC) are still in tact. And to top it off I think we will be better in '25 and '26. The future is bright.

This!

And I will say the idea of a team going undefeated in the SEC conference IS OVER! The B1G would be in the same boat if it were not for Michigan and USC having a down year.

The above is what everyone needs to understand. This realignment and NIL has changed everything.

Florida is gonna go 6-6. They are not “good.” They just aren’t terrible.

I couldn’t care less if you donate or been a season ticket holder for 30 years. That’s not a flex. Don’t you think all of the vol fans on this site want our program to be elite?! Here’s an idea, put your extensive football coaching resume into the athletic dept and stop being a pecker head.

I joined this site around 2008. If I had a nickel for every thread similar to this… well there’d be a lot of nickels.

I’m going to give credit where it’s due, same with blame. There was a lot to criticize, doesn’t mean there needs to be a new head coach.

Roaming forums complaining all day isn’t gonna make anything good happen. You’re free to do what you will, but I’ve yet to discover a company/program become elite by relentlessly trying to downgrade success and throw failures around at anyone who listens. You go down that road and in not so much time you’ll have people looking at each other questioning what the hell is the point of doing good if nothings ever good enough. Honestly believe you’re a troll account at this point, seems like you’re just trying to divide people. I’m now labeling you as a federal agent sir.

You can believe I am a troll all you want. Some on here do. I could care less what you think about me to be honest. If you think what is said on a message board will have any effect on what happens on the field then you need help.

I want TN to be at the top of college football. The best there is. I get pissed when we play bad and lose. And everyone in here is free to feel how they wish. I don’t care who agrees or disagrees with me. If you like what I post, cool. If you don’t there is always the ignore button. I am sure many ignore me. And I don’t care.

If you would have donated just a little bit more, we could have beaten Georgia.
