I dont think this guy will make it in the NFL - I always thought he was kind of slow footed and his passing tanked this season -- maybe he will be the QB in waiting for Brady to retire

Didn't impress me at all either...maybe Bill O'Brien drafts him for the Texans in the middle to late rounds

I'll tell you what a lot of teams will feel terrible if they need a qb and pass on Carson Wentz kid is a winner and will be a great NFL QB

Several PSU posters claim Franklin will be given an interview for the Eagles job --- however, its just to 'satisfy' that Rooney Rule the NFL has - why even have the rule if they arent serious about hiring the guy ? Or could the Eagles be dumb enough to hire another college coach, just because he has Philadelphia connections

I think at some point we may all just have to accept the fact that the SEC East was just THAT bad when Franklin was here.

Tennessee was either coached by Dooley, or still had a Dooley-filled roster while he was here.

Georgia was the most injury-prone program in the country (they kind of still are.)

Florida was under the rule of Muschamp.


Vandy couldn't have asked for a better scenario, and they knew it. Every game was like a National Championship to them because they knew they had a true opportunity to back their way into some success.

They already interviewed their running backs coach Duce Staley which satisfies that requirement.

There was a video posted a while back where a kid kicked a field goal during a practice at PSU, and I said that you could tell from the body language and some comments made that the players there didn't like Franklin. I got ridiculed, but now I know I was correct.

If one says negative comments about coaches of other teams they will be attacked on this site. Only UT coaches are fair game. Sad but true.

Wentz is one of the most hard nosed kids I have ever seen play QB - and I am not young. Go Bison - 5peat!!!

Eagles interveiwed Duce Staley to satisfy the Rooney Rule.

They are looking at Doug Pederson, the Chiefs OC.

Probably give Gase a call as well like everyone who has a vacancy.

Franklin hasn't done anywhere near enough IMO to warrant NFL consideration.

The guy is a self serving, overrated pr--k.

I think from the PSU boards posts they want him gone now, and are just looking and hoping for ways to get rid of him -- much like VN did with Dooley
