UNC will be vastly improved by the end of the season, also UNC has played one of the top 5 hardest schedules in the country, not sure if we would be undefeated if we played Vanderbilt at a neutral site, Illinois on the road, or Kentucky at home. They need to bench Larry Drew and play Kendrick Marshall, also they will need to make Harrison Barnes realize he needs to pass/rotate the basketball when being double and triple teamed. I don't know if Tennessee could have gone into Chapel Hill and won that game, although 1/2 of our team would have not fouled out due to Calipari only playing 8 players in an incredibly physical game.
That being said, Tennessee is a better team than Kentucky and Roy Williams exploited Kentucky's weaknesses (no true pg when Knight is out of the game, Jones poor free throw shooting, no dominating big man in the paint). If Kanter is eligible, that may change things, but he's not, nor will he be eligible in the forseeable future. We will beat Kentucky, our guards will control Lamb and Knight and we will wear them down with our depth, fast pace, and cause them to get in serious foul trouble. Plus, the first game is in Knoxville, so we will have the home court advantage.
