Hail to the Washington Commanders

I sympathized with them because I hate the Steelers and the Seahawks got the biggest referee screwjob in the history of the NFL, and dare I say, American professional sports. But I am no Seahawks fan.

It's like rooting for Florida State to beat Florida. Does wanting Florida to lose make you a FSU fan?
You obviously didn't see the '85 World Series of the '88 NBA Finals.

No, I wasn't alive in '85 and was learning to crawl during the '88 NBA Finals. But the 2005 Superbowl has to be right up there, especially as it is, in my estimation, the holy grail of American sports.

The Seahawks got some bad calls. However, none of them were dispositive of the outcome. Don Denkinger calling Jorge Orta safe and the phantom foul call on Laimbeer at the end of Game Six decided the outcomes of those championships.

So back to the Skins. Who thinks that Art Monk was shafted by not being selected by the Hall of fame?

I think he's a Hall of Famer, but Thurman Thomas and Michael Irvin are more egregious omissions.

I think they were. They may not have come at last second plays, but they came frequently enough to keep Seattle from winning the game. The Seahawks played a game that would have otherwise been good enough to handily beat the Steelers, if not for having so many yards negated at key times by the referees. In my opinion, that is a screwjob of the highest degree.

I can agree with that. Shame that he's not in.

:eek:lol:

10 points and countless mistakes they made on their own is hardly good enough to win the Super Bowl. They were beat by a better team that just happens to be a team you admittedly hate. No one other than bitter Northwest citizens will be screaming "We were screwed!" once the new season starts anyway, so whatever makes them feel better about getting beat, more power to them.

Seriously Owb, what were your first thoughts when you heard Spurrier was going to be the head coach of the 'Skins?

It was like deciding to pull for the devil.

He still owned Manning while he was there. The 'Skins pimp slapped him in a Sunday night game under Spurrier.

My bandwagon Colts fan friends were

Count me in on that one. What a crock!

"Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

Why dur, you ask?

Quite simple, really. Redskins fans are all retarded. It's science, you can't argue with it.

Unlike the intellectual giants I see here in the DFW area wearing Cowboy gear. It's like a Mensa convention.

Testify about the '85 series. What utter BS.

All I can say about the Redskins is that Clinton Portis is a cool guy and Sean Taylor is certifiably insane.

Art Monk is one of the biggest shafts ever. Complete and utter BS if you ask me.
