Hail to the Washington Commanders

furthermore, after his 10-6 season in New Orleans that got him Coach of the Year, he proceeded to go 7-9, 9-7, 8-8, 8-8, 3-13. It wasn't just because of Katrina.

Redskins would kill for those season right now and yes it was hard to coach a team when your city is under water and stadium is destroyed. Remember Katrina hit in August.

What other places has he been shown the door?

My mistake. I didn't realize Katrina affected the team for the four years before it ever even hit NOLA.

I guess Katrina also affected the Rams in 2008 when he went 2-10 as interim HC, or while he was DC there, having defenses ranked 28th and 21 in overall D.

“Last Friday, after practice, he was on the field by himself for like 40 minutes, just punting the ball, and running after it, and punting the ball and running after it,” Jones told 106.7 The Fan's The Junkies. “The guy looks like he's lost, doesn't know what's going on, and so I did feel bad for him.
So wait a minute; he was on the practice field, in the bubble, just punting the ball — like a kid would, just out in the back yard?” co-host Jason Bishop asked.

“Out there on the practice field,” Jones said. “He stayed there. This was outside, after everybody's in the locker room changing their clothes, getting ready to go, and he's just out there for like 40 minutes punting the ball, he'd run after it, punt the ball.”

If the skins weren't a hated rival or a franchise that has had a lot of success in the past, I would feel a bit sorry for them...................but I dont :)

Good article

In general, fans are loyal as hell. We root for laundry and we know it — we don’t care. It’s part of our DNA. We’re always coming back. It’s just one of the things that makes human beings so freaking strange. We’ll divorce people before we divorce our favorite teams.

But an irredeemable owner? That’s the only person who can nudge a fan base to a collective breaking point. When you support a pro team with an unspeakably awful owner, at some point you take a step back, do the math and mutter things like, “I was 19 when he bought the team, I’m 34 right now, and I’m gonna be 54 in 2034 — AND WE ARE STILL GOING TO SUCK BECAUSE THIS GUY F------ SUCKS AND HE’S NEVER LEAVING AND WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO?”

In five of the last six years the Redskins have lost 12, 10, 11, 13 and now 11 games -- with two remaining.
The Redskins lost 53 games from 1981-91. They have lost 63 games in the last six years combined. And that’s with a division title that interrupted the last-place finishes. From 1971-92, the Redskins had one double-digit loss season. They’ve had 12 from 1993-2014. And of those 12, five have occurred since 2008.
