Hail to the Washington Commanders

Is this just a case of them way overthinking the situation or are they seriously contemplating sticking with Football Team?
I've thought all along they should go with the Washington Pigskins. "Football Team" and "Pigskins" are kinda the same thing. Perfect fit. Then they could bring the Hogs back as an icon for the team, and still continue to use "Skins" as their shortened nickname.

I like it

I can get behind this actually

Good idea. I always thought they should go all in on Hogs, but this is a good way to link to the history in a way.

Even the team song would be just be a simple reword:

Hail to the Pigskins!
Hail Victory!
Hogs on the Gridiron!
Fight for old DC!

The rest of the song stays the same.

It was all on the defense second half. Radio up here acting like Smith may not be available for this weekend against Seattle. Doesn't look good for the WFT.
I wasn't counting on beating Seattle (though with Smith it's more likely than with Haskins). Carolina and the Eagles games should be wins. That gets to 8-8

Gibson and Sharpe are the only 2 showing on the injury report from today

And then: Coach Ron Rivera said after Sunday's win over San Francisco that Smith (calf) was removed from the game for precautionary reasons due to muscle soreness, and the quarterback was available to go back in if something happened to backup Dwayne Haskins, Kyle Stackpole of the Washington Football Team's official site reports.

X-rays on Smith's leg didn't reveal any damage besides the tightness and muscle soreness, so the veteran will likely be available to start Washington's Week 15 matchup against Seattle barring any setbacks in practice this week.

The national news on Smith seems mostly positive, but I noticed last night and this morning, 106.7 The Fan (a station up here you've used to post info on here before) isn't as optimistic. They might just be fishing for callers though, people love to bash on Haskins' deficiencies.
