Hail to the Washington Commanders

What's going on with the Skins today? Why are we losing to St. Louis at home late in the third quarter??

I'm not seeing the game here. I was afraid we would slip up and lose one of these "sure win" games.

I was watching the gametracker on nfl.com.. St. Louis just kicked a 49 yards FG to win. Unbelievable. Skins turned it over 4 times today, that's why they lost.

Did you see the one they returned? Don't try to run the ball. You are an offensive lineman for a reason.

Now 3-0 in the tough stretch!

Redskins are now 4-1.

Next three games:

St. Louis (0-4)
Cleveland (1-3)
at Detroit (0-4)

0-1 in the most easy freakin three game stretch ever in NFL History.

A sad football weekend as the Vols lose to UGA, & fall to 2-4. While the Redskins lose to a winless Rams teams.

To look on the brightside, Washington is 4-2 with Cleveland, & Detroit next. So, barring a collapse, the Redskins should be 6-2 at mid season

The Cowboys loss definitely made the Skins' loss easier to swallow. It should also wake the team up. Has to be hard to fire up a team to play the Rams when they were being so pampered with hype over the past two weeks. Romo is also out for four weeks, PacMan is acting up and TO is ready to once again implode. Hopefully all those things combined can cause the Cowpies to spontaneously combust. We are also one game up on the Iggles and I'm not sure that Westbrook is every going to get fully healthy. The Wild Card spot is still ours for the taking and who knows, maybe the Browns can somehow beat the GMen.

and in shocking fashion. Braylon Edwards big night cost me a fantasy victory, but I'll take the fantasy loss if it means the Redskins get to stay within a game of the GMen. Beat the Browns this week and then the Lions and the 'Skins are 6-2 heading to what will likely be a marquee game against the Steelers. The Rams loss was ugly, but just about every team stumbles somewhere down the road when they shouldn't.

Shaun Alexander is now in Washington.

ASHBURN, Va. (AP)—Former league MVP Shaun Alexander signed with the Washington Redskins on Tuesday, part of a flurry of roster activity in which the team ditched its punter, shuffled its safeties and displayed coach Jim Zorn’s strong ties to his Seattle Seahawks roots.

Alexander, unemployed since being cut by the Seahawks in April, signed a one-year deal to back up NFL leading rusher Clinton Portis. Portis’ usual backup, Ladell Betts, sprained his knee in Sunday’s 19-17 loss to the St. Louis Rams and is expected to be sidelined two to four weeks....

Yeah. Sportscenter said he was working out in Seattle with a guy from Washington and was in better shape than he had been in forever though.

Alexander is nowhere near what he used to be. There was a reason nobody signed him up until now.
Yeah, but he could still be a great second back to give Portis some rest. They're working him into the offense today, so he's only run twice for 9 yards, but I expect him to get more carries and do a decent job with it.
