Felt like the obvious choice. Heupel runs a unique system so who better to run it than someone who has been with Heupel for 15 years. Halzle also deserves it.

Heupel likes to promote from within, which I think is a good way to build a culture. It worked well with the WR coach. Heupel will be involved in the offense, so this transition should be pretty smooth.

I'm more interested to who the TE coach will be. Hopefully a top tier recruiter and someone who can bring a new dimension to the offense. As important as it is to promote from within and reward people who are working hard, you have to stay innovative in this sport

Yeah probably. A lot of OCs are also the QB coach. golesh was the OC and the TE coach when he was here so he was a little different.

Nice. On the 247 podcast the other day they mentioned we would need to replace our te coach. This led me to conclude that those in the know have known for awhile that this was the move. That being said, can anyone see any reason why we waited to make the announcement?

A name I heard somebody float out there (can't remember who) was former North Texas head coach Seth Littrell. He was a teammate of Heupel's at Oklahoma.
