Halzle Promoted to OC

Heupel likes to promote from within, which I think is a good way to build a culture. It worked well with the WR coach. Heupel will be involved in the offense, so this transition should be pretty smooth.

I'm more interested to who the TE coach will be. Hopefully a top tier recruiter and someone who can bring a new dimension to the offense. As important as it is to promote from within and reward people who are working hard, you have to stay innovative in this sport

Would bet good money that Coach Halzle is the OU head football coach within 3-5 years once OU craters out in the SEC.

Congrats coach!

Wouldn't be surprised if he selects one of the current offensive analysts, like he did with the WR position opening last year.

Nice. On the 247 podcast the other day they mentioned we would need to replace our te coach. This led me to conclude that those in the know have known for awhile that this was the move. That being said, can anyone see any reason why we waited to make the announcement?
