hamilton has done nothing since becoming AD here that merits him sticking around much longer. mishandling of hires. off-the-field issues that has garnered negative publicity. our facilities are currently behind many. football has been bad. baseball has been horrible. basketball saw a couple good years compared to what we were used to but now it is average again....

oh wait....tennis has been great!!!!!!!!!! HORRAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

The Fulmer firing went the way Fulmer wanted it, not Hamilton. The Pearl firing was fine. He had no choice. I would like to hear how it could have been different.

There are very few posters who have an understanding of the AD's role and the fact that he doesn't have unilateral power to hire and fire certain high level coaching positions

The Fulmer firing should have happened at the end of the season IMHO. With Pearl it wasn't the firing, it was his comments pre tournament that were highly inappropriate.

And while Raliegh no doubt deserves firing, this tweet is inaapropriate; can he not wait until next week? It seems Hamilton has a patience problem.

What do you mean he's done nothing? In his 8 years as AD he's hired two football coaches, two basketball coaches and maybe he'll be on his second baseball coach by the end of the weekend.

Not to mention all the buy-outs (Raleigh's will be a paltry 350 Grand). Seems like he's been real busy.:)

He is handling this firing well. Raleigh knew he was fired way before the Vanderbilt series. He had to make the CWS this year or he was getting fired. TN has been actively looking at several options for HC.

Good news on the coaching hunt....the second base coach from Chickeesaw College is available and wants it...badly too.

Pat Murphy would be a solid hire if not for his NCAA troubles. He got ASU on probation. We dont need more bad pub for our school.
