I lay this loss at the feet of Jimmy Hyams. Very poor timing to ask those questions before the tournament. Why not wait until it is over. Hamilton was in a corner, no matter what he said, it would be debated about what he meant or he would have to lie too.

I don't know what to think. I think everyone is to blame for this game. Hammy, Pearl, players. Golden was good, Tobias was pretty good today too, but thats it.

I realize the OP was sarcasstic. However, this is not a case of ill timed comments, it's an act of sabotage. Hamilton and the folks that pull the strings have done this before.

Different sport, different coach, same result.

In both cases, an announcement/change in position could have waited until all games were played out.

This is not an accident, this is the way it's done at UT.

Well, that's not exactly true. He could have simply indicated that the program would be evaluated at the end of the season as a normal operating procedure.

Halftime speech must've been awful. I know we've lost too many coming out of the half, but man, today was pretty painful. I just wish I knew how awkward the locker room was at the half

Although I don't think the loss can solely be put on Hamilton by any means, I do think that Hamilton should be out as AD. He has had 4 hires as this university's athletic director. Kiffin(we know how that turned out), Dooley(so far everyone is ok with it), Todd Raleigh(although it is just baseball, he hasn't helped our teams chances any and has also been investigated by the NCAA) and Pearl(obviously got investigated and punished by NCAA this year). Can he hire anyone that will actually work out? I don't think he's cut for the job. Fire Hamilton before Pearl

how about this.....fire hamilton, tony jones interim coach during 1 year suspension. scotty and tobias stay in school and all current recruits enroll at UT ?
