Their defense? But it's Halloween!

Chad Michael Morisette, who lives in the house, told CBS 2 News that drivers and bus passengers have been stopping to snap pictures of the macabre scene.

Morisette says the effigy would be out of bounds at any other time of year, but it's within the spirit of Halloween.

He says "it should be seen as art, and as within the month of October. It's Halloween, it's time to be scary it's time to be spooky."

I can't imagine that anyone would reply "this should be seen as art" if it was an effigy of BHO hanging...

take the mannequin out and just leave the noose hanging there and then try to explain it away as being "Halloween Season".

the secret service investigates whether or not someone in a crowd yells "kill him" yet this gets a pass from them.

Two guys in Orlando have a Sarah Palin look alike hanging (noose) outside for Halloween, should they have to take it down? Is this the same as yelling fire in a theater? Does they have the right to leave it up under the guise of halloween? I one do not agree with them at all and find it tasteless..

It's tasteless but not illegal. There is no crime against being tasteless, if there were Madonna would have been unemployed long ago and there would be no MTV.

I've grown to expect such hate filled shenanigans from worthless Democrats.

I can imagine the outcry if someone hung a Lil' Hussein look alike. How much do you want to bet the race card would be played?

Yeah, and national stories of female McCain supporters being mutilated by big black men. I agree, the Democrats are really pulling the race card out in full force. Get real.

The guys should take down the Palin doll. End of story.

Wow! A lot of whinning in this thread about - "if it was the other way....."

It's a couple of jerks being jerks. And looking at the picture - how in the hell is that supposed to be Palin? It looks like a nutcracker soldier.
