It is over with Gruden. He was probably never really considering TN anyway bit got his name in the Dooley light just like several of the old vol fans said. I would love to blame Hart for messing the desk up too. In reality it wasn't a real possibility on the first place. Now lets hope he makes the right hire for UT

With the words "I knew UT would drop the ball" you found the reporter to support your theory.

Does anyone know how business really works? Or do most Vol fans only know how to complain?

I am very knowledable how business works. For this instance its called a track record fot hiring coaches. Oh wait, UT has done such a great job hiring coaches thats why we are looking for a coach again.

Why, if he did that he would have to admit to actually applying reasoning to this. That is not the mob mentality. Let someone else do my thinking for me and I will just go with the mob and kill whoever they say to kill.

I did answer it,it got deleted for some reason. Guess it made too much sense. Cant do that around here obviously. And I do my own thinking bro. Ive been over gruden for bout a week now. U? But to come on here I say it was never a possibility, when you have no clue what so ever what was going on behind the scenes is just dumb.

The first time you make sense will be when we hire Jon Gruden as the coach here. Here's a clue: not going to happen

I never said it was,but the Gator says it was never a possibility. All I was saying is that is an ignorant statement when you really have no clue as to what really went on. That is all.

This is the thing.. Hargis cant be proven wrong. Unless you're hart or gruden you could never know 100% why things did or did not happen. So he can say just about anything he wants.

This guy learned his PR from the same class that Clay Travis attended. He flamed the fire of the Gruden hysteria so that when it did not happen (as most everybody, including him, knew) he could slam a scapegoat. He knows that is exactly what the masses wanted to hear and would eat it up.

But... but... what a monster!

Gruden thinks just because he won a Super Bowl with Tony Dungy's players and had an average coaching record that he should not just be HC but also AD. Unacceptable. Then he thinks he deserves more money than Nick Saban even though he has never been the head man of a college team in his life. Gruden seems like a spoiled 12 year old boy stuck in a 40 something year old mans body. Feels like he is entitled to a whole athletic department when he has never proven himself in the college game. I for one am glad that this circus is over and now Hart can go get a real college coach with the proper experience.

Staking his 23 years in journalism that UT and Hart botched this deal. That Gruden absolutely wanted the UT job, and Hart dropped the ball.

I was listening to the show when Hargis was on. He did NOT say that he staked his reputation that UT and Hart botched the deal. He staked his reputation that the information in his article from the TFP was accurate, and that the sticking point was the amount of money allocated for the assistant coaches. He said this in response to the University's statement that no numbers had been discussed.

We have been punked. Jon Gruden's ego is the size of Tennessee. I can't believe we wasted all this time and the volnations energy to be left without a coach. The worst thing is with the huge amount of coaches fired, our choices of a winning coach have dwindled and we will be lucky to get a mediocre one. I really hope Hart has someone else he has been talking to, that Gruden was'nt the only one. I don't think I will ever watch MNF again.
To be honest I hope all of this hype on Gruden was false that would mean Hart was actually talking to someone else all this time. We can only hope.
