Harris, one and done?

There are few true one and done guys out there, or at least they should be. Most players should follow the Blake Griffin path and develop your talent for two years if you are a high quality player. Otherwise, we get stuck with the situation we had a decade ago with a bunch of no-name burnouts who went straight from high school. I firmly believe that the college game allows you to establish your name and make more money instead of sitting on the bench for two years when you are 18-19. Kevin Durant (although a 1 & done-one of the few legit ones) has far more name recognition because of what he did for a year at Texas than if he went straight to.....gulp......Oklahoma City out of high school.

I'd say a player on the talent level of Carmelo, K-Dur, and such come around once every...oh, I'd say 3 years?

Well that's your opinion but I can bet you he will have lots of double doubles while he is here!

It's not a knock on Harris. He's solid coming out of HS but since we're back on the national radar we are going to be playing more solid teams and I think he will have a tough time adjusting for a while. He will be a stud

Not sure. Seems like he has his head on straight but he (or family) don't seem like the type that wants to jump quickly. He stressed education pretty importantly during his recruitment. I say at least 3 years.

Yeah, but look at Durant now. He's a solid NBA player, but certainly not a big time star, yet. What kind of notoriety would he have received thus far had he been drafted out of high school? He definitely benefitted from being POY as a freshman and turned it into more money for himself.

He can certainly score with the best of them. I, for one, am ecstatic about the college rule. We get to see the best players in college for at least a year

Durant is not a big time star? Please... Dude is putting up 28 and 7 this year. Just because he plays for OkC and no one sees him much doesn't mean he is just "solid." Durant is one of the top 5 scorers in the NBA this year.
