Harsin Being Retained at Auburn

Too bad some of the kids they beat us out for didn't hop into the portal before the deadline as a precaution. Bet some of them might have had second thoughts and could have joined us this year.
Oh the timing was deliberate. Auburn will try to find a way to fire him with cause this year. This isn’t over. If I’m Harsin I get an attorney now to start building a case against them for when the BS continues.

This was a pretty bad chapter, but UT is still worse. If Auburn does something like this 2-3 more times, then maybe we've passed that torch.
***BREAKING STORY:
While looking on at UT for the past decade, Aubie says "Hol' mah Jack Daniels!"

So they're giving him the dreaded "vote of confidence".
yep he is on borrowed time. I imagine if he has a decent season and another job comes offering and it would likely be a step back down in school and conference prestige certainly. He may just take it to keep from being fired if not if its decent season and not great Auburn will fire him because they can be in better time to look for a replacement than if they cut him loose right now.

Since Auburn is having issues in their football program, does that mean we will have to lose our basketball coach again? Ya know, like the Pearl hyped up BS took the light off of Cam??

Asking for a friend. I’ll hang up and listen.

now lets see if they get dragged thru the mud by the mainstream media like they did us with Schiano.
They won't, because unlike Tennessee, Auburn hasn't been a complete comedy on the field over the last 10+ years.

The reason Tennessee is a target for some in the media is because we have a lot of institutional ineptness combined with poor play on the field. Tennessee is an easier target because we aren't a draw right now, and in contrast a program like Auburn has had some competitive seasons and isn't all that far removed from a national title win and an appearance in another title game.

It seems like y'all all agree on this, but there was absolutely no vote of confidence at all. Clearly there hasn't been. If you're superstitious, then I think this adds credence to the idea that they'll go undefeated next year or in 2023.

And Auburn is crazy enough to still fire him after an undefeated season, not that they will actually go undefeated.

No - they'd sign him to a 10-year, $150m fully guaranteed extension after this season or in 2023, then fire him 2 years later after a 7-5 season or something.
