Washington would be a great fit for him Is Washington looking to the SEC to fill its coaching opening?
Might very well

As mentioned above, if Harsin is unvaxxed and unwilling to be vaxxed (or get a bulletproof exemption or get a bulletproof fake vax card) he's not going to coach for a state school in Washington.Washington would be a great fit for him Is Washington looking to the SEC to fill its coaching opening?
Next month he would be required vaccination to remain coach at Auburn. As mentioned above, if Harsin is unvaxxed and unwilling to be vaxxed (or get a bulletproof exemption or get a bulletproof fake vax card) he's not going to coach for a state school in Washington.
He's not a fit in Washington without Rolovich appealing/suing and winning over his firing at Washington State.
Fair or not, like it or not, there's precedent. He's not hireable if he is unvaxxed/not exempt.
To ensure that Auburn can certify compliance with current and future federal contracts, the university’s vaccine policy has been modified to require that all Auburn employees must be fully vaccinated no later than Dec. 8, 2021, except in limited circumstances where an employee is legally entitled to a medical or religious accommodation.
Perhaps Harsin has a decision to make.Next month he would be required vaccination to remain coach at Auburn.
University complying with federal requirements; all employees required to be vaccinated
The LDS issue in Auburn Alabama might be hard, but I've really no idea how accepted the LDS are down there. He & his wife are Mormons. It was a strange move for both Harsin and AU. I wouldnt be surprised if he moved on next year, this year would be a surprise. It's starting to get late for coaching changes.
why would he care? If he wants to leave then leave. The LDS issue in Auburn Alabama might be hard, but I've really no idea how accepted the LDS are down there.
If he can spin the vaccine issue instead, he can probably shift the anger so fans hate on someone else (the feds, Auburn admins, etc) if he moves on.
Nicely done, if that's what happens for him, but if Harsin winds up vaxxed and coaching in Washington or CA, even Auburn fans might see through the ruse.....maybe.....it is Auburn, after all.
If he leaves he's not paying the buyout someone else is. And I suspect he wouldn't be owed crap if he quit, or is fired, over the vaccination thing. I am sure his contract contains language about following government decisions as it impacts his position. That's pretty standard. If he leaves, he owes either 7M/5M.
If he's "fired for cause" (like not getting vaxxed) I'd imagine he saves that money.
I'd care about that kinda money, wouldn't you?
The word is he wants out but I'm not sure he's a lock for another spot that'll want to or can pony up the 7M or 5M for him.If he leaves he's not paying the buyout someone else is. If they want him they will pay it. That simple. The word is he wants out but I'm not sure he's a lock for another spot that'll want to or can pony up the 7M or 5M for him.
I'm certain he'd get zero money if he fired for cause but I just don't see even Washington wanting to drop 7 figures for Harsin.
In Alabama it is easy to get a "Religious Exemption". Several nurses and office workers in my clinic (which is owned by a large hospital conglomerate) have applied and been approved.Next month he would be required vaccination to remain coach at Auburn.
