Kremlin media contends that North Korean commandos blew up the Deepwater Horizon platform in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20.

No doubt I share plenty of skepticism but I'm not hastily jumping to any particular conclusion as you are, with nothing other than your own skepticism to back it up, I might add.

A few questions;

1. Where indeed was the NK ship, the 'Dai Hong Dan' the night of April 20, 2010?? If the Dai Hong Dan did not sail out of Havana bound for Venezuela during the given time frame, that would tend to dispel the report. If we had a real media in the USA, that would already be public knowledge. With their resources that factoid shouldn't be all that hard to ascertain.

2. We have seen video of the streaming oil 5,000 feet at the bottom of the gulf ad nauseum, will we ever see any photos of the sunken Deepwater Horizon?? One would think at some point there would be an examination of the remains of the DH, would you not think??

3. Why did Obama deploy swat teams to other oil platforms??? There would have to be some reason for that, what is the reason?? If you have some explanation for that, please present it.

That's exactly what I said, because of other articles on that particular site he totally dismisses this story without any examination of the facts.

Not to mention calling me insane when all I asked was did anyone hear any media mention of the story.

It may be a difficult concept to some but to get to the truth of any matter one must seperate fact from fiction, if there are conflicting accounts then one usually leans toward the more credible of sources in the absence of irrevokable evidence.

GS, that's been addressed in the oil rig thread. They were not actual Special Weapons And Tactics teams. It's a case of government lingo. They were safety response teams from MMS in the interior department. This is mentioned here:

We don't know (at least us on this board):

The location of the NK ship, the 'Dai Hong Dan' at the time in question. (that should be easily ascertained by LSM with their vast resources)

We don't know if this is disinformation or the truth presented in a way designed to escalate tensions.

In short we don't know one way or the other whether this is true or not true.

This thread reminds me of the story of the SR-71 pilot flying a training mission:

The situation was too ripe. I heard the click of Walter's mike button in the rear seat. In his most innocent voice, Walter startled the controller by asking for a ground speed check from 81,000 feet, clearly above controlled airspace. In a cool, professional voice, the controller replied, "Aspen 20, I show you at 1,982 knots on the ground."

We did not hear another transmission on that frequency all the way to the coast.

But in this case the story is likely traceable to an American computer programer and avid internet hoaxer by the name of David Booth. (don't know that for sure yet either.)

He has a long list of hoaxes that are sort of funny if you look at the whole body of work. One reccurring theme is supposed inside sources in Russia.

Not to say the NK isn't into subs.
