If Dook didn't suck we wouldn't be #2...... opcorn:
We'll get a good idea Saturday...That would be true....don't get me wrong, I am very excited for Tenn basketball and hope this is the year for us, but I'm just curious how long their run will last as well, they are very similar to duke, and if their shots don't hit, what will happen, can they still manage to win or will they wear out?

either Duke or Tennessee could beat Memphis if they have everything working. The question is can either of these teams hold up through the tourney knowing they must have good nights from beyond the arc to have a chance.
If I'm a Duke fan, I'd be worried about our recent defensive inadequacies more than anything else.
Duke has fired up 65 three pointers the past two games. They have hit 23 of them. Everything revolves around Duke's perimeter game. Find another way to score or consistently hit the 3 and Duke will be fine in all areas. It is without question the biggest stumbling block of this team. That and staying out of foul trouble.
And Memphis could beat both of those teams if they have everything working. The question was can we win if the shots aren't falling and I still maintain we'll get an idea Saturday because Memphis willl pressure the 3 point line.either Duke or Tennessee could beat Memphis if they have everything working. I slightly disagree. Singler and Thomas will have to patch up your interior defense at some point. There's no hope for Zoubek.

Hey, if he wants to go on another route, let him. But I somewhat agree with you, I can't necessarily say we will find out on Saturday. Even if it is a win or a loss, I don't think that will be answered, because we almost lost to LSU because shots weren't falling, and that shouldn't have happened against LSU. I am more curious to see if they can handle it when it comes to games closer together, because they didn't against Kentucky after a close stretch of games, with the gas running out. With the SEC tourney, I think that will help answer the question better.
Nicely played, remember the days of Greg Newton, Joey Beard, Ricky Price and Chris Burgess, that was supposed to be the stud group. underline "suppose".....Tamon was productive but foul prone as heck...Mike, this is just for you:
After much thought, I've decided asking for Cherokee Parks might be a little greedy. Instead, I'm hoping we can somehow reinstate Tamon Domzalski for the tourney run.

Didnt Newton get kicked off the team for cheating on a CSCI test? Beard did absolutely nothing at Duke, believe he transferred to Boston University and was playing ball in Italy.and injury prone as i recall. Joey Beard, there's a name I had even forgotten. Almost went with Burgess (in his brief stay) or Newton, but it seems like they got more PT than Domzalski.

A couple more names to pull out of the archives from that era would be Eric Meek, Carmen Wallace, Roshown McLeod, Kenny Blakeney, Brian Davis, Clay Buckley and big Danny Ferry.
