Has Saban gone "woke"

If you don’t say without hesitation that America is the greatest country on the planet, while likely having never visited another country on the planet, let alone lived for an extended period of time in another country on the planet, you need to GTFO America AND the planet!!!

A..Amer....Americ....OK, I'm going.

Ahead of Veterans Day on Thursday, Saban thanked veterans who have served and made the country safe, and “one of the greatest countries in the world.”

I'd like to ask him what other countries he considers on par with the USA!
Good lord, really? The USA isn't the only great country in the world. Get over yourself.

It’s THE greatest country in the world. And I don’t apologize for believing that. Feel free to ignore.

I believe that as well but I believe its up for debate. I tend to have a pretty open mind, and last I checked, things have gotten pretty rough here in the USA the past 2-3 years.

Well, there’s no debate for me. Things have been tough everywhere in the world the last 2 years, but if you think the last 2-3 years have been tough, you’re in for a hell of a shock how tough things can get.

I graduated college and got my first job during the Carter economy and I recall the “misery index”. I’m afraid a lot of young people are going to get to experience it.

Invading Australia or North America is an entirely different proposition than crossing the English Channel or operating in the Mediterranean. And the Germans likely weren’t going to make lasting inroads in Asia even without the British to worry about. They went through the Soviets like it was nothing and then still got put to flight at Leningrad.

Man, we get into some odd discussions for a college athletics forum.

So, you’re telling me that USA sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives, mega millions of dollars not once, but TWICE, to defeat an enemy that exposed no threat to them? That’s pretty damn GREAT to me.

Just out of curiosity, has there ever been anything you weren’t offended by? And no, no one has requested an apology from you. So save the victim comments.

The US has allowed Saban to violate the Geneva Convention thru his treatment of the UT football program.
Too bad the US didn’t step up its GC enforcement for Nick when Joey Freshwater was violating Kristen’s “virtues”.

Cant we poke alittle fun at little Napoleon? Lighten up, people.

I’d love to hear the list of other countries that pay $10mil to coaches. I know World Cup Soccer coaches in South America or hockey coaches from Russia aren’t as fortunate.

There's a lot more to greatness than economy.

Incarceration percentage, homelessness index, child hunger percentage might also play into citizen satisfaction ratings.

Nationalism ignores a country's problems. Patriotism recognizes them and seeks to alleviate them.

I don't know if Saban has gone "woke' but you've clearly gone snowflake.

Don’t forget to mention the space program. We have private citizens (plural) that have better space programs than most countries.
