Is anyone else here concerned with Jim Haslam's new toy -The Cleveland Browns?

I know how frustrated and apathetic we,the fan base, are. Just wonder if the Haslam's after donating millions to the program, have had enough and will now devote all their efforts and money to The Cleveland Browns.

Here's a recent business article about him becoming the new owner.
Cleveland Browns new owner Jimmy Haslam is all business about winning | cleveland.com

Besides him and Thunder Thornton, who is the next biggest donor? Isn't the CEO of Dishnetwork a UT alum? Anybody else think the Haslams will become less invested in the Vols?

Maybe Haslam can hire dooley away as Cleveland new manager.....not like a real manager but like the kind that washes jocks and jerseys.

Jimmy is the son Big Jim is the Dad and who everyone is referring to when they say Jim.

WOW, VN is like my late grandmother...If there was nothing viable to complain about, she'd just make up something to complain about.

No, you do not get to be billionaires by quitting when the going gets tough.

You also don't become a billionaire by investing money into something that will not give you a profit (Vols). Especially when you could invest it in something thg will (Browns).

A huge reason these booster donate the money they do is they love their school. But don't forget it is a huge tax write off to a university and good publicity. I don't see them leaving UT for dead.

Neither provide direct profits. It's all the extras that come with both these investments that they enjoy. UT has provided plenty of indirect profit to the haslems and has allowed them to do a venture like buying the browns. Both will continue to whether or not the teams are doing well.

The eventual sale of the browns profit is the only difference between the 2.

No, he bought the team so he could offer Saban a job and get him out of the SEC. Of course there are other ways to beat Alabama. Out-coach and out-recruit them.

Could not be further from the truth. Do you have any idea how big Pilot Flying J is? Want to take a shot in the dark how many gallons of diesel fuel they pump a year? The Haslam family success is predicated on smart business decisions, not 'indirectly' profiting from UT, whatever that means.

Come on, man. That post was a train wreck on about 8 different levels.

I mean, if Haslam thinks Gruden is that great, why would he want to pay for Gruden to coach at Tennessee and not Cleveland?

And don't give me the "because of his love for UT" bull****.

Does it bother some of you that you can't spell his name right? His brother is your governor if you live in TN. Invest 5 seconds of your memory into it considering what they are doing for your school and the state.
