Why would Vol fan want a hat with the name of a golf equipment company on the front and the power T way over on the side?
Ever consider the fact maybe golfers want golf gear with a little Tennessee Swag? Do you happen to own a Coke bottle that has a Tennessee logo? If so do you love coke more than the Vols? Or maybe you have a small Tennesse sticker on your car which clearly indicates you love your car more than the Vols right? If you were being funny my apologies, if not your post was idiotic.
I guess this is what you mean. To each his own, I guess.
Thanks for calling me an idiot, friend. I admit that I can't understand why someone would want to buy a Tennessee hat...and instead of just buying a Tennessee hat, he'd rather buy a hat with the brand of the golf balls he hits on the front and the Tennessee logo around on the side or back. Is it the golfing equivalent of the bicycling idiots who wear full Lance Armstrong gear while riding around their neighborhood? Do your golf balls fly farther when you have an official golf hat on instead of just a Tennessee hat? I confess that I don't get it.
No, golfers wear golfing gear and want to show off their school colors too. I'm guessing you don't golf. Titleist makes more than just golf balls. They make all kinds of golfing gear. They also make those hats in just about any school color. It's a cash grab for them, but it's one of the better hats out there. Just like most people don't wear jorts when they golf (at least at most reputable courses), most people wear hats with a golf representation when golfing.
Here's a sample of some of the teams.

Got it. When I do the stuff I do, whether it's running or hiking or canoeing or bicycling or playing tennis or basketball or drinking or whatever, I just wear a UT hat. I didn't know that you have to wear a Golf Representation Hat when playing golf. Fair enough. I guess you guys are really proud of your balls.
Most golf courses have golf attire rules. You can wear just about any hat you want (within their rules), but you'll find most golfers will be wearing a hat with some type of golfing advertisement. If it helps their game, and they're superstitious, then yes they'll continue to wear it. When their game goes to hell, they'll break their club over their knee and throw it in the pond, but keep the hat.
Also, I gotta give props to anyone that wears a hat when playing basketball and gets it stay on. Kudos.
I'm bald and I sometimes play outside under the full grind of the summer sun. It's either wear a hat that's a little uncomfortably small so it'll stay on and soak through or a Deion Sanders-style bandanna. I have no good options.
