I still say go after Lawerence Frank for about $3M annually and see what happens.

No. We need continuity. Marshall has been loyal to Wichita St., and I would almost guarantee you if we throw money at him and continue to make him happy then he will stay here as long as we want him. Lawrence Frank is a guy that the NBA would come calling, and I don't think that would be good especially for this fan base.

Hat, what are your thoughts on Marshall? I've followed the guy since he was first brought on at Winthrop and he's always thoroughly impressed me.

Not Hat, but I know Hat pretty much loves the guy. He is the next good coach to come from the conference to lead a major program to great things.

How long do you think it would take Marshall to win big at Tennessee?

If he took over next year and there wasn't any substantial roster attrition, UT would make the NCAA Tournament. By his third year UT would be in a position to win the SEC.

Do you think TN is damaged goods at this point? When the Ncaa ruling comes down, we may well lose scholly(s) and get some sort of postseason ban. Are we going to end up in a Kiffin type of situation where the hot commodities in coaching will be reluctant to step into this job?

Are TN and Pearl stuck w/ each other?

I don't think the program itself is going to receive substantial penalties.

No.

Who do you think would have the best chance of winning quickly at Tennessee (off the OP's list).

You think they would come, given uncertainty of possible NCAA issues?

I don't have an opinion on this, as I know very little about CBB. I watch every Tennessee game, but nothing else. I am just here soaking in everybodies
opinions. But also throw enough money at them, I think they would. Also Hat said he doesn't think the University itself will receive massive sanctions.

Would we consider the coaches from Butler or Xavier? If we was to offer one of those coaches would they even consider us?

Does anybody know anything about Kansas assistant Joe Dooley? What kind of coach is he? I know he was the head coach at ECU before with a 57-52 record. They offered him the head job again this off season and Jeff Lebo took it after he turned them down. How funny would it be with another coach named Dooley at Tennessee. Not many coaches out there with that last name and not related.
