Of where we are as a program? Lets be honest fellow VOLS, we aren't going 14-0 any time soon. It's going to take some time 3 years maybe even 4 before Tennessee. Is even taken seriously. But if you fire Butch and keep firing assistants it's just going to set us back even more. So I say to you VolNation back this coach and these assistants and I tell you, you won't regret it in the long run. Go Vols! :hi:

Just to clarify when I say fire butch I'm talking like in a couple years if we are like 7-5. Folks will say fire butch and we are never going to get back to our winning ways if we don't keep a coach.

Nobody's firing Butch and we will have a great team in 2015 -- 8 wins minimum - book it - end of story. Move along.

CBJ has rescued a football team on "life support." He salvaged a recruiting class last year. Our Vols were not going to be able to compete with most of the elite SEC teams this year and we pulled off the upset against USCe. Our recruiting class for 2014 looks amazing and hopefully a TOP 5 class will be signed. With all of these positives as well as many other positives (GPA of team), if the quality of the product doesn't change over the next 12-24 months, CBJ will more than likely have to change things up. Most glaring is the play of the defense and CJJ. I think CBJ, an offensive minded coach, recognizes this and when he gets "his" players, the quality of play will skyrocket.

What circle of fans have been suggesting for Butch to be fired?? My guess is a pretty ignorant group. You might want to find a more rational group of fans to hang with!

Um have you been here after the past few games? Half of the threads are about firing Butch and how he's just a big east coach who isn't ready for sec blah blah blah.

Since we are into crystal balls, I looked into mine and I have the Vols winning 8-9 games NEXT YEAR. Not 4 or 5 years away.

I don't miss a game period. Those calling for Butch to be fired are simply ignorant. Fans with that mindset simply think you can plug a different coach in and BOOM.....problems solved. They are simply CLUELESS to the nuts and bolts that make a good team. It all starts with great athletes....but a lot of fans don't want to hear that. They think that if a player's on scholarship then they "MUST" be "GREAT" and the problem is simply a bad coach. Wrong!

I agree with the overall sentiment of "Give Butch time".

That being said, have I missed something? Has Freak implimented some requirement that someone must create this thread every week? I would say it's getting old, but that ship set sail long ago.
