I noticed the speed of Malone on the 1st TD by Hurd. Malone caught him....albeit near the endzone. Dude is crazy fast.

Actually, Hurd simply outran him. Malone had an angle but Hurd just had too much speed.

I have no reason to believe that Jalen wouldn't stay at RB when he lands in town next year. I see the case being made for him possibly moving to TE or safety on D, but he runs so well behind his pads and has such good lower body strength. Automatic 5+ yards every time he carries the football. I was so excited after watching this game. GO VOLS!!

Yeah...his size, speed and athleticism would have a greater impact at RB than on defense or even TE/WR. Why? Cause he would represent one half of the offense. He's not going to touch the ball 20-30 times/game at TE/WR. If we could get Mixon to commit, that would be a fearful tandem.

Paulk would get plenty carries, too...especially if one of them gets injured.

I haven't had a chance to see the video but from what I am gathering from other posts he hasn't changed his running style from last year and has gotten bigger and stronger?

Maybe we should just skip the numbers and put a big S on his chest. Do you think a cape would be too much?

Cape would only allow ppl 5yds behinid him(where most ppl are) to grab it and get injured trying to pull him down.

This is a new age of football, we are all about hugs, not hurts...

I think Lane starts next year, and Hurd and Pickett are the two backups. I think we see a three man rotation.

One thing i didn't see yesterday, was that Hurd didn't have any receptions. I really wanted to see how he was receiving, and in open space after a reception. He will also be a pro at running between the tackles, because that was all he did yesterday. Very rarely did they toss sweep or get him outside.

Watching Jalen Hurd today, in my mind, further illustrates the inadequacy of recruiting services. I am stupefied by him only being named a 5* last week. I happened to catch the supposed #1 running back that is in Florida and has signed with Georgia and thought he was a great back. However, Jalen is a FREAK.
