Its false. Bowden was there for a decade and never won a damn thing. The road loss at Wake ended him. Dabo had nothing to do with Bowdens departure...Tommy lost that job on his own.

First of all he is a bammer. Second if you think he is running a clean program then Gruden is headed to Ark for 1 mill a yr. He helped force Bowden out and weaseled his way in. Does sound very familiar though.

That is an absurd statement based upon nothing. Clemson wanted Bowden out midseason. They named Dabo the interim and based on his performance he was given the HC job. He has taken the program to levels it has seen in 30 years. And any guy that can ruffle the feathers of the Ol' Ball Coach must be doing something right.

Chavis is the 2nd highest paid assistant in CFB behind Monte. He makes 900K this year, 1.1mil next and 1.3 the year after. He is not coming back here. He is not looking to make a move and we are not looking to buy him out of his contract. We will not pay a buyout to another school to get a DC! It's okay to speculate but a little common sense reasoning goes a long way also! Chavis will either retire a rich DC at LSU or try his hand at a HC job for more money!

Im not disputing that, Bowden had 9+ lives with that job. He had no business keeping it that long. All I said was Dabbo is extremely cutthroat and no way that program is clean. I have seen hundreds of people question how in the hell they are recruiting at the level they have. Same as with AU and we see whats developing down on the plains. Also said Dabbo was campaining big time for that job and was doing it loud and very public. He has done a good job at Clemson but his experience didnt warrant him getting that job. Clemson is a very good job and Dabbo reminds me of Jimbo and has tons of talent but always loses 1or a few that he really shouldnt.

Dabo Sweeny isnt getting it done in the ACC which he should be dominating with that squad.
Also this isnt close to the caliber of coach UT needs right now. We are on life support, no more chances.This hire has to be the biggest hire in our storied history. All these men mentioned can coach, but we need the intangable factor. A guy that wouldbe national recognition of the highest level to bring back blue chip recruiting. A guy that can make up the lost ground of 7 years in 2. The only man capable of leading the University of Tennessee football is Jon by god Gruden. there are no others.

Clemson has always recruited well & sent a ton of players to the NFL. They have a pretty good winning tradition, a very nice campus, & top notch facilities. In a lot of ways it sells itself. Not sure what's surprising. Clemson isn't a bad college town at all & the surrounding area isn't bad.
