Headed to Notre Dame

Recent developments, thoughts on the game, etc...

I have been looking forward to this game for two years - I can't believe there isn't more hype / excitement for it. UT's going through a rough patch - big deal. ND's been crappy for 12 years. Isn't ANYONE pumped for this game? I mean, its still two proud schools with great traditions playing a football game - doesn't that still count for anything?

You have to understand that we have no earthy idea what the offense is even going to look like or even who is going to be calling the plays.

You could say that we have been SLIGHTLY distracted the last few days.

Personally, I can't wait - staying in Chicago for the weekend and coming over for the game.

I'm glad we play each other.

People are down here because expectations were so high and we are sucking on offense this year.

That being said - it will still be a hard fought game between 2 great programs.

For me the big question is the mindset of the players. If they still believe then anything can happen. If the S. Carolina game took the wind out of their sails, it could get ugly.

The timing sucks - You're right, there should be a lot of talk about this game.

I'm leaving Lexington Friday afternoon and will be picking up an Irish fan in Cincinnati, so our car will be a divided one.

Even if UT's offense is down, don't you think watching ND's offense v UT's defense is going to enjoyable? I think that's the match-up that determines the game (no real insight there). I have to believe that this is UT's bowl game right now.

I haven't watched much of Tenn but if they have any kind of a passing game they should be able to move the ball on ND. As for their vaunted D Good luck! I'd say ND has the best all around offense in the country. Combine that with a coach that's 2nd to none when it comes to making adjustments. 1st half will be close but the Irish will pull away and win by 14 :mf_surrender:

We've got a decent passing game, just not much of a catching game.
