health care mandate law ruled unconstitutional

America, the joke is on you. We already had socialized medicine. Government already accounted for 50% of all health care spending. No wonder it's so expensive.

Don't like education? That's socialized, too. Virtually every American pays into it, and 90% participate in public education.Even in the USSR they did not achieve 90% nationalization of agriculture.

It's strange how the perceived solution to these problems is more government.

I am very curious as to the breakdown of the government spending on healthcare. Got a link. Thanks.

I read it in the Politically Incorrect Guide to Socialism by Kevin Williamson. He has like 25 sources for the chapter and I don't know which one it is. Exact quote from book:

Before the Democrats' healthcare bill was even considered, the US government already spent 50% of all healthcare dollars, dominating the marketplace through Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs.

I've read like 6 or 7 PIG's and whenever I've done fact-checking I've found them to be reliable.

I wonder if the figure includes the 2.7 million federal employees and their families who are covered by government insurance. That might make it a lot more believable in your eyes.

I'd prefer to be part of the other 50% that pays our own way (and, I suppose, also helps pay for the rest through tax dollars).
