A third of the way through the season and we’ve avoided the injury bug mostly. Fingers crossed it stays that wayTennessee offensive tackles Lance Heard and John Campbell were not listed on the SEC student-athlete availability report on Wednesday, indicating that they'll be available for the Arkansas game.
That's great news for the Vols, who finished their 25-15 win over Oklahoma on Sept. 21 without both tackles.
Heard, an LSU transfer and the starting left tackle, has missed the last two games due to injury. Campbell, the starting right tackle, left the Oklahoma game with an injury.
No. 4 Tennessee (4-0, 1-0 SEC) plays Arkansas (3-2, 1-1) on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC) in Fayetteville.
Here’s the SEC student-athlete availability report for Tennessee and Arkansas players.

I'm not overthinking anything. Who said it has to do with NIL at all? He was/is injured. He can be active on the roster, but they still don't play him if they don't need him, or he isn't 100 percent. That's almost thoughtless and not overthinking at all. You’re overthinking this. It was not a nil dispute he was genuinely just injured. I go to school at ut and he was in a boot at some point in time. I could be wrong but I don’t think this was nil
I imagine the NFL isn’t a big possibility given Campbell’s age and health status? I hope he’s getting a lucrative degree; he should be on his Master’s at this point. Dude deserves to benefit from what he’s contributed to our program.Campbell has a Bursa Sac issue. He will likely not finish a game this season, and is basically playing each game until he can't go anymore, which is part of the reason Davis and LJ3 have played so many snaps so far.
I agree 100%, another note on this. Playing more guys helps keep our starting 22 from getting worn down over the course of a season. The SEC grind is real.I hope we handle this game quickly and we can ease both in over a couple games and limit snaps and keep developing depth.
I am really starting to love how this staff balances the current team with developing the future.
One of the pains with Fulmer is that he always played “not to lose” so many games stayed closer a lot longer than they had to be which required starters to play a ton more. And he recruited so well there was no need not to rotate in more but unless I’m rewriting history in my head it seemed rotating didn’t happen anywhere near as much as under Heupel.
I think he might have a very small chance to be a UDFA, but the very first thing a scout is going to point to is his health, so its hard to say for sure. Its just too bad his body won’t cooperate with his level of talent.I imagine the NFL isn’t a big possibility given Campbell’s age and health status? I hope he’s getting a lucrative degree; he should be on his Master’s at this point. Dude deserves to benefit from what he’s contributed to our program.
