WD, I think you're right on...The off season workout will be huge for him...let's enjoy his refreshing attitude and obvious talent while we have him...

I agree, he is already in beast mode. Once he trims down a little and adds a lil more muscle... Chuck Norris and Rod Wilks will cower before him

He is finding his way and adjusting to the speed of the game at the college level. You bounce it one time in the paint and those quick hands are always poking it away. It's good he has such a tremendous attitude and he's going to be a good contagion for all to catch.

I heard initially he's 270. I'm gonna guess next year he comes in at close to that again but it'll be a much different 265-270 build.

For example maymon was listed 260 I believe last year, but he looks in much better shape this year even though he's 5 pounds heavier.

Maymon dropped the fat and replaced it with pure muscle, I expect much of the same for stokes. Come in next year 260-270 but absolutely Dwight Howard scary ripped.

Atleast that's my hope!

It is scary to think how dangerous this team is going to be down low next year. Imagine Hall packing on some muscle, jarnell already looks like an oak tree he just needs a little more conditioning which will come. CCM said he is going to work on maymon's 3 pt shot this offseason.

You can't score if you don't get the ball! I sat there and watched McBee throw it to the next guard and he threw it to the corner where they trapped our player and he turned it over. Stokes had his man behind him under the goal, without a doubt a slam or a foul. I saw that often. My nephew played guard for Dean Smith when they won the NC in 84. I hated Dean because he said pass it to the big in the middle and do not take an outside shot unless that wasn't available. My nephew was an excellant outside shooter. Dean was right, they won the NC! I was on the 7th row in the middle>

Just a thought, but CCM should also have Maymon work on bending the knees on his FT's IMO. It looks so awkward and could help his FT% tremendously

A full off season will help with all this. Remember CCM didn't plan on having stokes so post strength wasn't exactly his first thought. I'd expect a lot of work in the off season on entry passes and ball reversals out of double teams.

Also as you said durk, I'd expect all our big men to have a better ft shot next year. Those are points left on the floor and no team can afford that no matter how good they are.

Jarnell does not have the body of a barely 18 year old boy, he is a man child.

I saw Dwight Howard play in HS and he went from being a man child big at 17 to being scary NBA big at 19.

I'm not saying jarnell will look like that, but I expect the same transformation we saw from maymon. Weight will stay close to the sane, but the fat he does have will become pure muscle.

Patricia Young batter leave Florida, she won't wanna play our post guys next year.

I addressed this the other day. Yes, the early entry to the block was open and often. For some reason saturday, the gameplan was to slow everything down and move the ball around the perimeter to run clock instead of attacking early and not considering the shot clock if we have position. The gameplan wasn't to push pass the press and get it early on the low block, which is why he didn't get it.

He has yet to go through an offseason of college level strength and conditioning. Don't know what hype he was even expected to live up to this year.

I'd disagree. For one Drummond got a whole summer to practice and workout with the team which stokes did not.

And for two their numbers are almost identical and jarnell plays 5 minutes less per gane than Drummond.

If you asked a college analyst who has had mor succes and been more of a surprise I'd go out on a limb and almost guarantee they'd say stokes.

Witch Doctor say next season the beast will emerge, Witch Doctor say hard to imagine but the kid has still probably had to adjust ASAP and still be a 17-18 year old kid leaving home for the first time while all the kids you know are still in HS. Witch Doctor say Stokes is da man.
