From your link.

According to The Athletic, Orgeron flirted with a woman at a gas station. The woman turned out to be married to a high-ranking LSU Tigers official.
one of the few Athletic articles (besides Ubben on Vol fans) that Ive gotten around. Have a feeling story was nearly being held untilannouncement was made.

I would say he isn't winning enough because Joe Brady, Dave Aranda and a roster of like 20 NFL players all at the same time. He caught lightning in a bottle and everyone knows it.
Yep and then he eased off the gas the second year. I disagree on the ladies thing not having an effect. There are rumblings that one of his “friends” was an administrator’s wife. I really doubt LSU would go in Kiffin’s direction with his philandering reputation and especially with co-eds.

I personally dont think they go after Kiffin unless behind closed doors they know he would say yes. Same reason when James Franklin was at Vanderbilt and many wanted to get him. And the big concern was what would look like if a Vanderbilt coach turned down Tennessee to stay at Vandy. Tennessee people involved immediately said not goingbin that direction. But people that have good history with their information ending up correct. They were saying if in back channels they were informed my Faranklins people that he would take the UT job things would possibly been different. I see LSU the same way they dont go down that road unless he absolutely comes. No way they want anyone thinking that Ole Miss is a more appealing job.

I don't believe the story about him hitting on the pregnant wife of a prominent LSU booster/admin at a gas station. That would require the woman understanding what he was saying. Impossible.

If Kiffin has great success at Ole Miss (SEC championship appearances or multiple 10+ win seasons), I wouldn’t be surprised if he waited out Saban retiring and getting the Alabama job. Saban is turning 70 at the end of the month. Likely won’t be coaching more than 5-8 more years. I guess he could go until he is 80+ but who knows? Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden did it. Either way, Kiffin doesn’t usually stay anywhere for more than a few years so if it’s not Alabama, it will be some other job.

Unless he falls over dead on the field, Saban will be heavily involved with picking his successor.

I highly doubt Lane is going to have Saban in his corner. Just sayin'.

That was a long way of saying I have no clue.
