for Dooley will be Sunday regardless of result. The Gruden stuff is leaking at the seams, so the big names have apparently decided to move the timeline on everything up 7-10 days. This is potentially a very good sign if you want Gruden in Knoxville. TIFWIW, FWIW.

We will know on Sunday whether this post has any merit.

If they were going to fire him on Sunday I would say that they would have already let him go. I just don't see it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have a hard time believing that it would be after Vandy regardless of a loss. I could say I believe you if he loses, but idk about after a win.

Hope you are right. I am tired of waiting, but also hope it doesn't upset any of the other timeline.

It seems as though, if all the Gruden rumors are true, that info is leaking too fast. Seemed to be some credible info early then a tight lid was put on everything. Now the initial info is getting into radio and mainstream media. I could see them moving the fire dooley timeline up to after Vandy and 2 weeks later announcing Gruden.

OP are you forwarding a rumor or is this received information from someone of merit?

If we win Sunday it will not be announced until after the Kentucky game. No reason to announce it before giving the team a chance to qualify for a bowl game. That would just be stupid and it's not gonna happen. It would have been announced after the Mizzou game otherwise.

Dooley will finish out the season regardless of the outcome, that is a fact. He may in fact be told Sunday that he is not going to be retained but I don't believe he will be told that officially until after the Kentucky game, especially if they beat Vandy, because they desperately want to make it to a bowl for revenue and the extra time with the team.

Dooley already knows. Regardless of what he says. The team will lose money if they go to the Music City Bowl or worse. The practice time is the only important thing.

I disagree. If he loses this weekend they have no reason to not fire him and make him public. If we do lose and they don't announce anything there are going to be some mob mentality anger rumbling in the community.

You would be correct if they have to travel a long distance to a crappy bowl but the MCB is close and would draw a good crowd. Don't kid yourself they need the revenue.

Respectively disagree. They always spend more money on trips to minor bowls like MCB than the receive they receive.

Since it seems to be a done deal with Dools gone. If we are to win the next two games do they announce that he will still coach the bowl game? If the Gruden deal is infact done. Then could we pull a OSU and have him recruiting while Dooley coaches the bowl?
