Heart to Heart

Madtown, I don't know how to put a quote from one thread into another one:blink:, but in the What team was playing against ASU? thread, I had a question as to Regionals match ups. Could you check it and answer? Or anyone who can get a definitive answer. I know what I think I know, but I can't prove what I think I know.

Smallvol, Quote the message you want, then copy the entire quoted passage using mouse or keyboard copy-and-paste command, abandon that message, go to the thread you want, post a new reply or do a quote either one, then use the paste command to paste in the copied message from the other thread.

There are probably shorter methods. The above is what I do.

For Smallvol: Is that what your earlier message was referring to? Sioux Falls winner plays Lexington winner. Bridgeport winner plays Dallas winner.

Wow! I thought SC was the number 2 number 1 seed because they had one more top 25 victory than ND (everything else being equal in placement categories). I always thought #1 played #4 and #2 played #3. Theoretically "saving" the 1 and 2 match up for the championship.

Were they not the number 2 number one seed, or did the committee do a job on SC so ND had an easier road to the Championship game?

Thanks for the correction.

Edit:

Would someone tell me who plays whom in the Final Four? The #1 #1 should play the #4 #1, assuming all the number ones play out with wins. But LadyVol1908 says Uconn will play SC in the semifinals. That is the #1 #1 overall playing the #2 #1. That makes no sense, but when I googled a bracket, that was the way it looked to me too.

Then I found the below:

1)
Bleacher Report: "Prediction: Connecticut beats South Carolina for a record fourth straight national championship."

2)

Thanks, Jeff. That is the only way it makes sense, but after LV1908 corrected me, I googled a bracket, and I swear I can see where he was coming from. It looked like the Sioux Falls winner was being sent to Bridgeport.

No doubt Dean, considering we will more than likely sign two 2016 3 star post that need to be coached up along with Russell. Dean appears to be way past his coaching prime.

Hasn't looked good this year that's for sure.

From my seat, I see a team that has poor guard play...poor outside shooting, even poorer three point shooting, an inability to stop dribble penetration, poor passing, and poor decision making.

Yet the posts have performed better...higher field goal percentage and better defense.

The posts have plenty of room to improve, but this team will go as far as the guards take them, not the posts.

Hi Smallvol#1,

I never have paid much attention to the ranking among the #1 seeds or the selection committee's logic for making such assessments. So, I can't offer any informed opinion.
Sorry,

Okay just to clear up any ambiguity; the News Sentinel story was about how Joletta Law decided she needed to make a kind of intervention with DD and had a heart to heart talk with her. The story in no way mentioned you and hence my post was not referring to you in any possible sense. I was questioning whether Law's talk is the factor responsible for DD's improved play. As to your personal fantasy of exerting an effect on the LVs through your posts on this forum, hey who am I a to rain on your parade? If that delusion makes you happy, more power to you.

I had already made reference to posting this to put a gopher in Bearcat's crawl....But your eloquence and verbal montage takes me back to a character on "In Living Color".
