Heartbreak?

It appears that the Vols win over Florida last night messed up the agenda of some people on this board. We are 5-1, ranked in the top 10, won last 2 out of 3 against Florida, but wait, we aren’t, ugh…….we should have ugh, …..we can’t ugh…. We WON!
So, you're like some kind of fancy pants optimist, huh? How dare you infiltrate the hallowed halls of UT Pessimism and attempt to spread sunshine where only mushrooms grow. The nerve of some people. Harruuumpphh!

The most depressing aspect is that OUR percentage of EVERY TEAM HAS THEM fans is either growing or becoming more vocal. Shows poorly either way. Their posts and calls become facts for talking heads regardless of accuracy. Totally missing out on the discretion gene.

Ummm…as I see it, the only goal that matters at all is making the new 12-team playoff. That is where the road to a championship begins. I guess it’s possible but not probable that a two-loss team makes the cut for the 12. More to the point: based on our play so far this season, I just don’t see us losing only one more game. More than that and we won’t make the playoff. And, to be honest, it seems to me that any of the remaining teams we play can beat us…it just depends on which Volunteers team shows up.
