Heckuva game, Vols

True. True. Should've coached the o-line to hold since it wasn't being called the other way... Not even once.... Not even when it was holding by face mask...

Well, we are just going to have to agree to disagree on the officiating. Let's face it, though, for us fans this is entertainment. For us it is really, as the saying goes, just a game. And if you wanted entertainment and edge of your seat anxiety, that game certainly fit the bill, despite the outcome being other than what you wanted.

UF probably won't lose in the east. The tough part for them is that they have to play the two best teams in the west. The team with the best defense in the conference is going to be playing for survival.

I now hate UF worse than ever. They have sunk below SC and Notre Dame... and that's about the Osama bin Laden level.

Congrats to the Gators. Big win in K-ville. If I see one review of a spot in any game the rest of the year I will hurl. Officiating was suspect as usual and to not even review that play was a sham. Good luck to the Gators and GO VOLS!

You got that right! I'm physically tired after that game.

2 series of running on 1st and 2nd.........

I'm worried about the running game, Arian Foster, even healthy, can't run every play, every game, we need depth and we need some adjustments and kids to step up on the Oline and runners.

I disagree. The last lunge was after his knee hit the ground and they gave it to him.
He was right on the line when his knee hit. Now granted they gave it to him by a yard, but at that point it didn't matter anyway. He got the first down. We couldn't stop their run all night, just like last week.

They only made it by the length of the football. It wouldn't have been a first down without the "left foot spot".

The run defense wasn't great. Chavis probably blitzed too much and took his LB's out of plays between the tackles.

The biggest thing though was that UT couldn't run it at all.

The only problem I have with the review system is that they don't put tech-savvy people in charge of deciding replays. They give that job to older ex-officials that don't have the mobility to call a game from the field anymore. So when there's a questionable play, it takes them quite a bit of time to view the play again and determine whether or not to stop the game for a full-blown review. Think grandpa with the VCR...

and when you can't run on O and stop the run on D,it's a recipie for disaster.

BTW, the Vols weren't the worst victims of the day. The reversed interference call in the LSU-Auburn game should get someone fired.

Actually the worst VICTIMS of the day were ND and Miami. At least the Vols left it all out on the field, and it went down to the wire with a good UF team... those two got blown out by teams that were supposedly inferior to them.

Congrats lawgator and the other gator fans. I think the better team won tonight. We had a chance to win at the end and that's about all I can ask. Florida's defense was better than I gave them credit for.

Louisville isn't an inferior team by any stretch of the imagination. They're posting nearly 50 points a game in their first 3.

yes, we couldnt run the ball and yes we couldnt stop the run well, but gee willlerkers we were winning almost the whole game, and we had the ball in our hands with a chance to win the game in the end!

I know that is important to have some substance of class when a team loses. Although we don't play on the team it still burns when the some of the calls that were given were just so bad. I want to win fair and square, not by some stupid call that lets Florida have the ball back because a arm flew by the head of a quarterback. GUESS WHAT, THIS FOOTBALL THINGS LIKE THAT HAPPEN, HE DID NOT TAKE HIS HEAD OFF OR KNOCK HIM HARD. This wrong and even Urban Meyer knows it. I am tired of thes bad crews coming up here and giving presents away and changing the game.

LG, Florida "EARNED" their win last night.

Forget the calls or no calls, Tennessee still had two chances to win that game and they blew it.

Ray McDonald is an animal by the way!

I thought your back seven would be your weak point but man, Florida had wonderful gang tackling!

Congrats to the Gators as much as that pains me to say!

*Not that I hope Florida loses every other game they play..................

The better team won, period and congrats to the slimey reptiles. (Sorry LG that's as good as I can get this soon after this game)The refs sucked but great teams win in spite of bad calls. Our O-line couldn't block their way out of a wet paper sack! -11 yrds!!!!! I'll drop this subject before another Mod has to come in and ban me for a few days *%^$****!!! and I'm not one to lay a loss on injuries (that's when 2nd stringers ste up) but being without Inky (and Fellows) really put us behind the eight ball last night. But hey 1 loss does not a season make, and LG you guys better strap em on tight when LSU comes at ya ( so should we). Oh and see ya next next yr in the swamp!! Go Vols!!
