Move Spurrier to the top of the SECe once again. The evil genius is good on his word that SC will contend for a championship this year. With NC and Vandy up next, SC should be 7-1 and ranked in the top 10 when they visit Neyland, the Vols, and Steves good friend the great pumpkin. Where are all the Vols that questioned his ability to take SC to the top? Sound off. :worship:SPURRIER.
True to some extent . . . but I don't think that was the case last night. SC was better than Kentucky.
It was a general statement about Spurrier as a coach, certainly not last night's game. For this year, I had Georgia in mind as far as comparing talent levels between teams. I'm pretty sure South Carolina's wins over Florida and Tennessee in 2005 and definitely Clemson in 2006 would be good case studies to prove my point.
How can you say Spurrier is Back?? Ok maybe I am on a whole different page, but I don't think Spurrier is what he was at Florida. He is a great coach and has turned around SC so that they can actually get some wins, but he has no passion like he did. IF he was back, Spurrier would have gone for it on 4th down against LSU in the 4th quarter instead of giving up. Did Spurrier not get the memo from Tenn that FG's don't win games?? lol:

Didn't go for it on 4th down??? Heck, he went for it on 4th down on his own 30 yard line on the first series of the 3rd quarter. When asked about kicking the FG in the LSU game, he said that they didn't have a play they felt would score against the defense they had been busted by all afternoon. Brutal honesty there. As for fire, I think it's taking more fire to breathe life into South Carolina's football program that has never competed for championships. Sorry, don't buy your reasoning here.
p.s. We got the memo that FG's do win games from Tennessee.
