:D

I moved here from TN back in 2020, right when the pandemic hit. Jobs in my field are somewhat limited...

Everyone at work has been talking smack for the last week and I am sure it is about to get amplified this week.

Go Vols and wish me luck down here in the heart of Gamecocks country.
Just take notes and when we win start every sentence with “remember when you said……”

It's like anywhere else--it becomes a part of the background. It's a great place to visit for history, though. They've preserved a large part of the downtown area so it maintains the past well. Lots of historical sites for visitors, plus carriage rides, harbor tours, Fort Sumter, plantations, and some world class restaurants. Some of the churches downtown are literally from pre-revolutionary war days. Definitely a great vacay spot, but if you're looking for beaches, we've got some, but they are absolutely packed. Only two hours up the coast to Myrtle Beach tho.
I need to get over there. Sounds very exciting.
Need to wear my Vol gear while I'm there.

I lived in Columbia for six years, now in Charleston for a long time. Is that town still as big of a crap-hole as it used to be? If you get a chance to transfer, Charleston is much nicer.
I don't mind it here, but I do miss TN. The heat here is pretty tough to deal with. I definitely prefer TN's climate.

Oh yeah! I even have a couple of group emails where last year's score was mentioned.

I really hope the Vols get the revenge they want. It will be so sweet to reply to all with a new score!

They are the most delusional fans.

At least Vols fans have BVS and even if its exaggerated it is somewhat similar to reality. These fans actually think they have a good football program.

Hopefully the Vols give them a taste of reality this weekend!
Actually, they know they are not good but they are a hopeful bunch.

Bless You. I know how it is, living in Birmingham,AL!
I live in Gadsden and work in Bessemer. We most definitely behind enemy lines. I moved down here about 10 years ago for work. But I will say, the chatter about Bama everything hasn’t been the same this year as years past. They know they have issues brewing.

I live right across the water from USC in West Columbia. My wife is a USC fan! SMH! Some of my son's football and baseball coaches at Brookland Cayce HS that are USC fans reminds him of the score from last year often. I am sure it will get turned up a few notches this week for him, but his a VFL like me. WE need this win Saturday!

My daughter went to school there. She spent 6 years there (and I spent tons of $$) and has a Masters degree that she used for 1 year and became a stay at home mom. Worst of all, she met her husband there (who was on the football team) and now her last name is Spurrier!! (I kid, my SIL is a great guy but that last name did bug me at first).

I am proud to say I was never a “traitor Dad” who wore an enemy school’s gear just because my kid went there. I have managed to also salvage my youngest Granddaughter as a Vols fan.

I now live in Virginia and everyone here “knows their place”. I have personalized UT plates with the Power T and go everywhere Vol’d up with impunity.

Myrtle Beach here. So I get USC Jr AND Clemson. Fun Fun.
If the people around you are anything like the fans at the game last year, I feel for you. I'll NEVER go to another game there.

I live a 1.5 hours from Athens and 1 hour from Columbia, so I catch it from both sides. I must say though SC fans are not near as arrogant and obnoxious as GA fans, and this was even way before GA got good. They’re intolerable now.
