I'm surprised there are Busch fans. They're kinda like leprechauns, Ive heard they exist but never actually seen one.

They exist. I've only seen them at the racetrack, and most are just as big of a-holes as the prick on their shirts.

It sounds like you would make a good Tony Stewart fan. He appeals to the old school fans and still very competitive, perfect match.
I remember during an interview before a Talladega race a few years back they were asking what his least favorite track was. He said 'Talladega' 'Why?' He said 'Because it's in Alabama' Needless to say at the race everyone in the stands hated him.. Even saw a porta-potty in the stands painted orange saying 'Tony turd, go home' on it.

I hadn't heard of that. Funny stuff. Sounds like Tony.

As far as old school cats go, I think Bowyer's a good pick, and with RCR coming around I think he could come into his own.

Yup. There was one at the end of our row at the 2008 all star race. The guy was acting like a total horse's ass because shrub was dominating. The look on his face when the 18 car blew up was PRICELESS.

I would have loved to have seen that. :good!:

15 years ago Nascar was my number one sport with football a distant two. Now the roles are completely reversed. I was a huge Earnhardt fan and after his death it hasn't been the same. Pulled for Rusty a while and still pull for Martin but I don't see him staying much longer. I'm old school and cant stand the punks like Busch and most of the new guys. I start out every year watching but by mid season I have lost interest. Nascar is just no fun without someone to pull for or if your guy never wins:). The guys that still follow Nascar pretty close, who would you say is the most old school guy on the track that is competitive?
I have a driver but still lose interest by mid season. Once football kicks off I hardly ever watch another race.

Thats kinda the way I am too. I tend to lose interest once football season starts and the NASCAR season winds down. This year I didn't lose interest as fast since the championship chase was closer and Carl Edwards finally started winning. But even if I do get uninterested at the end of the season, once I have to go a couple of weeks without it, I start to get the itch again. Come February, I'm more than ready for another season!

We didn't hear him anymore after that. It was glorious.

A quiet Busch fan makes me happy. As a matter of fact, a quiet Busch makes me even more happier, because if he is silent, it is because he is pouting after a loss. These are good times.

I have to agree with all those who proposed Smoke. He fits the description provided best of any I can think of. I like Boyer too, may be too nice a guy, but as long as his fingers are wrapped around a steering wheel rim, I will stick with Mark Martin. I think he still has a couple wins left in him. I'll make a wager that he wins again before Dale, Jr. or Jeff Gordon do.

I think Smoke and Ryan Newman both are throwbacks to the old school. Also, for one that doesn't win as much I think you could definitely add David Reutimann to the list. He came up through the ranks the hard way and he's really paid his dues and he's a really genuine guy IMO.

It was all Stewart for me till Joe Gibbs swithed to Toyota. I'm not pulling for a damn Toyota. I always liked the jack daniels car, so started pulling Clint bowyer. Then Stewart Got his own team and whiched back into a chevy. He always hated driving a Toyota anyway. So now I pull for Stewart and bowyer.

Bowyer's not big time yet but, his coming around.

Never understand the hate for a certain make, for example: I could care less if Mark Martin (My driver) was in a Toyota as long as it meant winning races and contending for championships.

Call me crazy but I'd watch out for guys like Regan Smith and Paul Menard in the near future. I believe Paul will be in the Chase next year with RCR and maybe even win a race IMO. I also like Regan as well, good driver on a small team, if he ever gets to a good team watch out.

Some future starts in the making would be: Trevor Bayne, Aric Almirola, Justin Allgaier, Ryan Truex, Chase Elliott, Ross Kenseth, and Austin Dillon among others.

I would like to see Regan Smith in a top ride, he is better than several who are.

Posted elsewhere that we're going with Trevor Bayne; local kid, good boy, good family and a really savvy driver. Hope he has a good year.

David Reutimann too; anybody cool enough to pull off "I love love" is OK. Nice guy too; just does't aim enough at PeeWee; man, I love to watch that guy wreck!
